Hi Raina, I think you must have seen my spinach - I grow basil in a pot but it is not so big and beautiful at this time of year. And that is the secret for basil in Calgary without a greenhouse - grow it in a pot so you can whisk it into the house when it is going to be cold and rainy!! Cheers, Janice
