Until Kris Marshall being in Love Actually, I didn't know who he was. My wife is the Doctor Who fan here. She was a big Matt Smith fan and actually doesn't mind Peter Capaldi. But when I told her about Kris Marshall, I had to tell her about his role in Love Actually before she could picture him as the new Doctor. She says she will give him a chance.

Yes, you are very correct in that being the main purpose to get people to visit the indie stores. They are the ones that still embrace music compared to every other store.

I've been a good 5 times over the last 10 years. And my record store is less than 2 miles from my house (a place called Graywhale). I've seen a lot this year that excites me, but I don't currently have a turntable, so it would be a collector thing for me, or take to my friends house, who does have an extensive vinyl collection and I could hear it on his system. We shall see what happens today. If something does, I will be sure to blog about it.

One of those heart melting moments that will last a lifetime. I have many of those over the years that I recall every so often.

I've always been a fan of Kate's vocals. I like Cindy's as well, but Kate has had the lead on most of the B-52's songs. Have you seen B-52's live before? Incredible performances each time. I've seen them live 4 times now (as recent as last July). And you know of Kate's solo album from 2015 called "Guitars and Microphones"?

Oh yeah. So excited for this (which if you couldn't tell by my blog post, it would be from my life long love of Star Wars)

You did a good job of stumping a lot of us last week. The green is making me curious, especially with your geek eluding. I'm going to say it's a calculator display.

Sad to see LEGO taking a manufacturing page from companies that skip on quality. We do except more from LEGO. I mean, they have a decades old tradition to hold up for those of us that love their bricks.

Riding high off last year's World Series win, I'd like to see the Cubs have a great season this year.

Oh wow. Great find. Love the Hot For Teacher 45. And that Pearl Jam Ten Club issue. I had a ton of 45's for many years. Alas, they fell victim to a mother that hated my music. I wish I would have taken more photos of the things I had growing up. Would be awesome to have proof of my memories.

My 4th grade teacher was Miss Bradford. I had a crush on her, even given my young age. She was always happy and never yelled at any of us in class, regardless how we were as kids in a classroom.

You already have found the Mute issue with using multiple clients (Echofon and Tweetbot are good example of the two clients I use). But given that, I simply have to manually manage my Mute lists on the two clients I use, which is the best overall solution. At least in my opinion it is. Unfollowing tends to bring out more issues, especially if there is a mention where it's not the @ where it would show up in your mentions. The divide we have in all aspects of life is at a crazy level. I have IRL friends that I have to change topics when things get too heated (or to prevent from things getting too heated).

On the Apple EarPods plugging into any device other than an Apple device, there's a level of complicated compatibility that happens. I've had it happen on a Kindle and a non-Apple laptop where the volume is not working right, and sometimes they don't even pass the audio to the headphones at all, continuing to pass it through the built in speaker. Still at the 6S Plus phone level, I am dreading the upgrade later this year. I admit that I have been using a wireless headset - the Beats Power Wireless 2. They have been really nice, but are a pain to take on and off. I have a pair of wired Skullcandy with the rubber nubs and like them a lot. They are ones that I use often for when I want a pair of good sounding headphones with a long enough cord. I use the EarPods with my iPod nano 7th gen so they never leave the house. I have a spare pair at work for those times when i need to take a call and be the wired version of hands free. I get the frustration when Apple changes things.

Well done. I like the scan of the toys. I spotted a Max Rebo and the three Coke bottles with all of your names on them. Nice!

Way cool on the yellow GBC. I always wanted one of those. The GBC I had was the clear purple model, where you could see the insides. I liked that model a lot. Marble Madness... that was one I used to play on another video game system. Curious how it played on the smaller screen.

At 53, I still don't know. If it doesn't happen by the time I'm 55, I'm just going to assume it was a lie.

Being even older, I haven't a clue what Catnip you is supposed to mean. Given your story, I'm guessing it's an insult. But an odd one, at that. As for the 42 being the everything, it never happened to me when I turned 42.

We did that when we first got the Keurig. But then we got started adding up the running water, the time it took to tear the KCup apart, the time my wife cut herself opening the KCup.... it was more than an adventure.

I'm with Marie. We have a Keurig and it's mostly because my wife wanted a quick way to have one cup of coffee in the mornings. We have the reusable inserts where you grind your own coffee and fill it, which helps on the recycle part. But I like the convenience of sometimes getting a box of the K cups and using those. But they can't be recycled, so I feel bad for that. These Trader Joe's version are a better option. I wonder if you have to empty the grounds out first or just toss and they get washed at the recycling plant? I prefer a coffee maker, where I can make my coffee stronger. We do that on a Sunday every once in a while.
