I think your analysis of the situation was/is correct. I get her reaction, but it wasn't the correct reaction, IMO. Parents like her need to parent better. Glad you got in another pool day before the season ends.

Count me as someone who didn't know about that Fitbit tracking function. I liked your comment about Nathan's drawing. Now to go check this out.

I guessed beer foam over on your IG. But looking at the pic here on your blog, it looks more like whipped cream now.

Munch-man.... loved that game. And really liked the TI 99/4a. A nice relic in home computer history.

I approve of the Aquaman scenario you described above. Would be awesome to see that. Jason Statham is in an upcoming movie called Mechanic: Resurrection. Saw the preview last night (playing before "Jason Bourne" - all these Jason's in this post). A lot going on in movies he stars in. Even his role in Spy had a lot of action.

Was John Stamos with the band? He normally tours with them. He was an official member at some point, during the "Kokomo" years. I am bummed to be missing Brian Wilson (we are out of town the week he is here in SLC). I've seen him a few summers ago when he did the 50th Beach Boys celebration.

I think my wife watched the first Magic Mike. I've seen parts of the XXL when browsing the cable channels like HBO. I'm more curious how you liked Straight Outta Compton.

I like the photo choices for this post. The sunburn... I've been doing great at putting SPF 50 on my nose, where I had that precancerous spot removed. But I tend to forget my back in areas that I can't reach.

I would say that you are good. I mean, maybe they will see that as a suggestion that their coloring books might need some sales pricing here in the near future.

Glad you liked it a lot. I've seen it twice now and both times were superb. Jaylah was so good. Chris Pine was again great. And loved the throwbacks to the original movies and series.

I ended up passing on the 7 Slurpees for 11 Slurpees deal last week. I did, however, manage to get my free Slurpee on Monday. And I got the birthday cake flavor (mixed with Cherry). It was better than I expected. 50 years of Slurpees. That's a long time for a frozen drink.

Great to hear Neon Indian was a favorite. Sucks their set got cut short. "Pop Life" would have been a great song to end their set on. My daughter went to see them here (I wasn't able to go with her - major bummed) and she said the whole set was great. I've heard Miguel before and I like his music. Glad to hear he was good live.

For the Salt Lake City area, we are in the 98-99 range for the next 10 days. So I feel ya on the heat front. Although you have humidity, so that makes it much hotter.

Sometimes Love Is A Burrito. That's an awesome pay it forward story. I've experienced this before at Starbucks, where the person ahead of me in drive thru paid for my drink (how they knew what I wanted, or the cost of it gave me pause - they paid $5 which covered at least a grande vanilla latte) and I've done the pay it forward as well. For 15 people, that's a very generous thing to do.
