I nixed mine years ago. I didn't have it up for more than a couple of years. The main reason why I got rid of it was to create more white space and it was one of the first candidates to go. I do look at other blogrolls on others' blogs, but not as often as I used to.

I had to wait until today to read this post. But just got back from Guardians of the Galaxy. Loved the movie, the characters and how the movie flowed so well. And Nebula... my wife's granddaughter recognized Amy Pond towards the end of the movie (it was her second time seeing the movie). Can't wait for the sequel (the end of the movie gave a large hint to that effect)

I loved MWC. Such a great comedy. Baseless humor, crass and rude at times... but funny on every level. I'll be curious to see how a spinoff works.

First off, not offended at all. I love to see more Oreo flavors reviews. Makes it so I'm not the only one eating these different flavors. I am going to have to seek these out. I was just at a grocery store this morning (Smith's, which is owned by Kroger) and they didn't have these. But there's a good 4 other stores within a few miles of my house that I plan to check out. I've seen the Limeade Oreos, but as much as I'm a limeade fan (drink wise), these didn't sound appealing to me. I do have a package of Carmel Apple Oreos waiting to be opened here soon.

One of those "if given another chance" moments. I've had those with people I should have stopped to say hi to.

I'm traveling this week, so grabbing this album was a small chore given the slow internet speeds at my hotel (irony is that today is the Slow Internet Protest day - I had a precursor prep to it yesterday). I've only had time to track a few songs but I do like it. The only U2 album that was hard for me to get into so far is their last one: "No Line On The Horizon" Just can't get into it, no matter how hard I try. It's the U2 version of "The English Patient" Painful to listen to. But this new album sounds like one I might like. Although "Achtung, Baby" is my 4th favorite U2 album ("War", "Joshua Tree" and "Unforgettable Fire" are in positions 3, 2, and 1). So I respectfully don't share your position on that release.

Cymbals Eat Guitars are opening for Bob Mould on his latest round of tour dates. http://bobmould.com/tour/ (no Chicago or Salt Lake City dates) I really enjoyed the blogging challenge. I posted 15 times in 31 days on Banal Leakage (not counting the 2 posts on Adult Beverages, which wasn't part of the challenge even that blog could use more frequent postings). A feat I haven't done for some time.

ha ha... I thought I would answer based on a subject trend. In that case, since CD is a good guesser, I'm going with kiwi.

I would think you could disable the wireless router that's part of the new cable modem. When we got out Blast upgrade, I went to Newegg.com and bought a DOCSIS 3.0 modem for under $50 and kept my Apple Extreme Base Station intact and never changed a single device. Also saved me the $7.99 a month Comcast wanted to charge for the modem/router rental.

Hey, I liked it - small edits and all. It had a nice flow to it. And from myself, who's been published several times in Thrice Fiction, I think it had an excellent chance.

I'd like to keep it going into September. It's pushing me to blog more, plus I have no shortage of topics and drafts that I want to get into blog posts.

Facebook... where do I start? I removed the regular Facebook app from my phone almost 9 months ago and haven't missed it. Although, about 5 months ago, I installed the Facebook Paper app. So much nicer to use on my phone. I like the swipe interface a lot better than the scrolling the regular FB app uses. As for my love/hate relationship with FB, It's a mixed bag for me. Many of my friends that I grew up are ones that I have to hide their feeds from my timeline/news feed. So much division over many topics like politics and religion and all of the game invites and "You won't believe what happens" video uploads. I cross post my blog posts to FB and a few other posts, but the toxic level of conversations and comments is something I really try to avoid. If I had more friends like you and Kim and Dave2, I wouldn't hate FB so much. Along the subject of multiple apps, I admit to liking Swarm now that it's seen some updates and features added to it that were once in Foursquare. I still use Foursquare for tips, both adding myself and reading others.

I approve of the Snippet Wednesday post. Just because it's something I see on your blog once a week anyway. And I'm working on post 9 of 14 here. I will reach 14 posts by the end of Sunday. I've rather enjoyed this challenge. Kicking me back into regular posting. I've not seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet, but plan to on Sunday with my wife. I've also never seen The Dark Knight Rises (I do want to, just haven't yet). I hope we both don't get a geek card taken away from us. Great choice of photos. Yahoo does do weather right and elegant. Even though the built in Weather app on the iPhone uses Yahoo weather as a source, I still prefer the Yahoo Weather app over anything else. The only want is to have an option to login to my Yahoo account so I can sync my Weather locations (instead of having to add them on both the iPhone app and on the Yahoo Weather desktop site.

If I could go a couple of months with my SiriusXM, I'm sure they would give me a great offer. I might have to do that next April... cancel than wait for the "please come back" email.

I normally call in about a week before my subscription expires in the first week of May and say that $265 a year for a single radio with internet/app access is more than I want to spend. And they lower it by about $80. I listen to my iPod a good deal to where I wouldn't miss SiriusXM too much, but there is my Howard Stern channels that aren't available anywhere else. I need to take up your suggestion on the Audible again.

I think most co-workers don't keep in touch. Maybe in the few months after they quit, they might go to lunch once or twice. Looking back at all of the jobs that I have, I would say I keep in regular touch with 20 or so of my former co-workers. This is outside of Facebook, meaning phone calls, text messages, visiting, going for drinks, hanging out with their family, business networking. Most I've kept in contact for almost 20 years, a couple it's been over 20 years and the rest less than 10 years.
