Got me stumped. And I've been trying to picture that in my head from the movies I've seen.

Why Vader, of course. But in a good way, cause Vader does turn good again.

Oh.. Sorry. Still playing catchup. And forgive the bottom comment. I think I posted on the wrong post.

Oohh.. I like this week's story. Very geeky. And I can see that photo and story going very well together.

That's a boy thing. I loved collecting rocks. As for the movie, I tried the Google thing and found "Badlands" from 1973.

Very well written. It was disturbing, but not from the story part, but from how much in the media this is all so true and how it plays out. Spurred some emotions here. And on the same page with you on where the story came from.

I like the "So I watch. I admire. I envy." part. Nice touch.

I love your description for this Mickey figure - Mic. And where Nathan found Mic.

Yeah, I seem to remember reading that response when he was asked some time ago. Guess I now move my focus to Axl and Slash finding a way to reunite GnR? lol

I was 19 and still a bit on the immature side, at least when it came to holding down jobs. I would have loved to worked there longer.

I'm very happy you are blogging over on ABV. Not sick of you at all. Just takes me a while to catch up in reading daily posts. Between you and Dave2, I have to focus every few weeks and get through them all. I need to adjust my reading schedule so I can reply more timely.

Mellon Collie was pretty epic when it came out in the mid-90's. I was an instant fan of Smashing Pumpkins and played Gish and Siamese Dream to death when they came out (had Gish on vinyl at one point over the years). Adore wasn't something I was fond of. A good album, but one that I had a hard time getting into. It was all 4 original members, but something was different. Machina/The Machines of God and Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music... these two albums were pretty great for me. Even with D'arcy gone. Especially so Machina II, which I jumped at the chance to download the MP3s. I liked the experimental stages of the songs. They were more raw than the over-produced tracks on Adore. The last two albums have been good - with Monuments of Elegy making my Top List of 2014 albums, but I'll admit that I would love to see a complete reunion happen. I doubt it ever will even though the Pumpkins are pretty much just Billy and other players. Maybe Billy will come to his senses and realize the fans will flock to any shows they do.

I have to admit that I was not aware of this series before your blog post. Sounds like I need to visit Night Flight (my local comic book store) soon. I know Comic Book Day is still a couple months away.

No smart appliances here, either. And given the ones I've seen at the CES trade show, I don't care to have any in the future.

I would have to think about a job like this. It sounds interesting on several levels. I have a friend who drives for Uber in Denver and likes it. She's not had any issues so far and it does make her some extra cash.

I know I'm posting this a couple weeks past the actual Oscars, so we know who won. I wanted Boyhood to win best picture. I saw Wild the day of the Oscars and liked it more than I thought I would. I only watched half of Grand Budapest Hotel because for me, I shouldn't lay down on the couch to watch movies.... regardless of how good they are.

I will say that I can agree with you on the price so far, since I've not cracked my package yet. I paid $2.50 for my package at a local grocery store called Harmon's.
