Oh yes. Which leads to the physical media being king, meaning you own it and it can't be pulled from you (with the exception of DRM'd digital content downloaded to your computer, which has a remote possibility of being turned off if the servers you connect to go away)

Comparing to other artists that have been inducted multiple times like John Lennon and Paul McCartney, which from a solo career perspective, were much more prolific than Ringo. Someone like Peter Gabriel, who's solo work was more popular than his work with Genesis, seems more worthy of being a multi-inductee.

That's a tough one to answer. He's quite the musical legend, regardless of what path he took to make his music. But Hall worthy... I think it's questionable, but not uncalled for.

I'm mixed about watching. Even though I loved the original show. With Lynch gone, unless they can get him back, this might be a deal breaker for me.

My friend, who is a huge Star Wars fan, dropped the $90 on iTunes for the movies. I still watch the 1997 released versions on DVD. In fact, my wife and I started at Episode I and are holding at Ep V (Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of all 6 movies) until after we get back from vacation the week after next. I thought about the digital versions, but I already have them ripped down from the DVDs. I owned the Laserdiscs and actually have a Laserdisc player, but it's not in a workable form. I had VHS copies of these movies (used to have multiple VHS stereo decks to record and copy)

Even though we have no DVR, I can sympathize on losing the recorded shows. I go through the same thing when episodes of shows I want to watch expire on Hulu (I don't watch them often enough). Waiting for Netflix or Amazon seems to be the thing now.

I really like those ariel shots. The floor looks like it's coming together rather nicely.

I still get chills after 20+ times watching this. And of course, you get major props for being RTd by Mark Hamill. That was pretty major cool.

Another great Story Sunday. If you haven't guessed, I'm playing catchup with these tonight. I remember 52-card pickup always being the last card game played as a kid amongst other kids. Crazy Eights was a favorite of mine.

Ringo's biggest song "It Don't Come Easy" is the one that I remember from him as a big standout and garnering heavy radio airplay back when it came out in the 70's. His other hits were pretty off-beat. So I'm there with you on his songwriting. Catchy, but not stellar.

Corn beef in a crockpot. Now that's something I need to try someday. That crockpot chicken taco recipe sounds super easy. No problem on the lack of ABV.es posts for March. And congrats on the Fitbit goal buster.

AppleCare is a must for laptops. For all of my iPads and iPhones, I never get it. As Ren mentioned above with the batteries, my late 2008 MacBook Pro 15" had AppleCare and I got 3 batteries replaced (on top of the battery that came with the MBP) under it (they all never made it to 300 charges without dying around the 40% full capacity mark). Stupidity does require AppleCare for many people that I know that have shattered their iPads and iPhones on a semi regular basis.

"Anyone can be a terrorist" Such a very correct and true statement. This guy, whatever was wrong with him, committed an act of terrorism. A very sad act that took innocent lives with him.
