I miss the Mother's Days when my own kids were just that...kids who poured every bit of their love into handmade gifts. I loved those quirky, colorful, funky, and decidely unprofessional gifts. Cost factor: minimal. Love factor, pride, and sense... Continue reading

April's Photo Heart Connection nearly got away from me, and I would have been sorely disappointed had it done so! And, at first, I thought, "Oh, no. I really didn't take many photos last month." Uhm, no, not so. Not... Continue reading

Outside my window, sunshine and spring are waiting for me to stick my nose out the door, and enjoy the day's gifts. I am thinking about how silly I must have looked yesterday, standing, stooping, and squatting with my tripod,... Continue reading

I love this photo; it simply takes my breath away! We weren't supposed to get any measurable snow; instead, we got a few inches. Not much, but more than the days we did get off...awaiting blizzards that never materialized. So,... Continue reading

I spotted this a few weekends ago in Ellicott City, and it made me grin. Creativity and recycling packaged together...who could ask for more? Aimee asked us to think about childhood games. Ahem, Aimee, a 60 year old brain has... Continue reading

Dearest EB and Jill, Much love to you and your mom. In many ways, through your blogs and facebook, I feel that I "know" her. Your cushions are such a wonderful tribute. And, oh, yes, she's there with you in so many ways. Her essence lives in both of you. The hurt will ebb and flow; mine still does after 8 years. But, the joy wins out in the end, and I think your mom must have created a tremendous amount of joy. Happy Birthday to C the Q!
