I would agree with Eduardo. Just taking materials that were developed for the general Engish-speaking audience or some sub-segment of it is usually not very useful. Before identifying the language, it's important to understand the needs, interests, values and cultural makeup of your Latino audiences. These may include students, but even more important, it should include their parents who play an important role in the process of identifying schools and figuring out which one is the best for their children. The kids may not need Spanish, but quite often their parents might. What is more important, though, is to understand their unique makeup and perspective. Thank you for bringing to our attention the fact that some schools are recognizing the important and growing role young Hispanics are playing in the US market and community.
