One addiction that is rarely spoken of as an addiction, is an individual's dependence on particular emotions and feelings. It is almost impossible to grow up without developing at least one. The repetitive emotional patterns we experience growing up become engrained in us, and even if painful, they are familiar. We associate those emotional patterns with the love, acceptance or safety that we want. This is not an individual's fault. It is part of the current human condition. TWO "TYPES" OF FEAR 1. "Natural" fear is a spontaneous reaction to real (or perceived as real) danger. When a car just ahead of you changes lanes unexpectedly and pulls in front of you too close for comfort, your body will send a shot of adrenaline into your blood stream.
