I've relocated to Salem, Oregon. To be honest, I'm not a city girl. The hustle and bustle of the Sothern California lifestyle just isn't me, I prefer to be surrounded by farms, rivers and mountains. Even though last month was the wettest March in Oregon's history, it hasn't bothered me. The advantage has been the city's delightful show of daffodils and pink Cherry tree blossoms everywhere. Though I'm not yet settled and unpacked, I'm moving forward. So keep posted for more details. Thanks for dropping by for a visit, I so look forward to reconnecting with you soon! Continue reading

God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, “Be on the earth”; likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain for His strength. He seals the hand... Continue reading

My first watercolor snow scene was the perfect watercolor challenge for me to learn something new. The majority of the painting was created with cobalt blue, burnt sienna, and a bit of rose madder. The green is a mix of what was left in my tray from the last painting. Continue reading

Donna, Amen to that! I read this section of scripture again this morning and realized three times God told Joshua to "be strong of of good courage" and to not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

At my local bookstore I was browsing the clearance section when my eyes caught a glimpse of a book about how to be a successful and prosperous business woman. Picking it up I was disappointed at the vagueness of its contents which explained why it was marked down. The truth is, God's word already tells us how to be prosperous and successful. "This Book of the Law (the Bible) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success." -Joshua 1:8. Probably not the formula you were expecting? If you are wondering how I know this works, this has been my business model since day one where I stepped out on a hunch with only change in a jar, trusted God, and prayed. Continue reading
