Surprise, surprise....I am back again this week with another fun card using the newest Stampin'Up! chicken set. The weekend was spent planting a new tree, replacing the one my husband chopped down. It wasn't dead...but...well anyway once gone it had to be replaced with a beautiful Oklahoma Redbud. I replaced some flowers as well...still have a few more to plant. I did do lots of crafting and managed to make a few more items for my shop. I think one of the best dies I have ever received is this Top Dog Die...I just love using it.The card base is... It has been too long since I have posted...the last day of February to be exact. I do apologize. Spring came and has taken much of my time, but as always I have been busy stamping. I stayed up making a card until 3am yesterday morning, got it listed in my Etsy shop and it sold while I was listing a second card. Etsy has been making changes to the inner workings....computer stuff and it is playing havoc with the ability to sell or to buy, making business sporadic at best. But I manage to stay really busy and always... Continue reading

It has been another busy month, I have been remiss in posting...there is never enough time in a day with Spring coming. We finally got the shelf unit used to hold bottles of rain water finished...it is loaded! Alas, there are still more bottles, so a second unit will be built next week. We have also planted, re-potted various plants and our weather continues to be mild for winter, early Spring. I had a second orchid re-bloom which was so wonderful. My daughter, Amy brought me a beautiful large purple orchid on Saturday and my husband bout me a white... Continue reading

Happy Monday! I managed to get back to post a card I made on Sunday. My husband and I are busy getting ready for Spring, building some outside projects. I think I have enough planned for more than Spring and summer. I will let you know if we come close to finishing. But to keep life in perspective, I must spend lots of time crafting, it keeps me happy! I started out using scraps on hand and added a few extras to make this eclectic card. It has a soft blue card base and three of my handmade envelopes, all... Continue reading

Does anything say Spring is on it's way, like tulips? I have been doing so many cards, tags etc. that I hardly have time left to blog. Today I am bringing you some things I have made and already sold that were inspired by the hope of Spring. I must say we have not had a winter. One day it might be 50, the next almost 90. We have been on a roller coaster for sure. I also am looking at the end of December 2006-January 2007 when we received so much snow that the road was closed, our drive... Continue reading

Happy Tuesday, no word from the ColourQ, but I am back with a scrap card! Do you hoard scraps, stamped card stock, unused pieces....I do! and sometimes it is just overwhelming so I have to make some cards using up whatever I put together. How about you try one, unless you don't have any scraps. The card base is cut using the retired Top Dog Die that I won in one of the Coffee Lovers Blog hops. Sadly this company went out of business, because I so love this die and use it so often. The card base is a... Continue reading

It has been a long time since I have posted. I have so many new stamps and have been busy with my Etsy shop, that I have totally neglected my blog! January is fling by just as last month did. We have had periods of really cold weather, then warm ups followed by lots of rain. We saw the sun for the first time in over a week...I am so happy to celebrate another warming trend. I have had these new stamps for weeks and am just now getting around to using them. My card base is blue and it... Continue reading

I think I am ahead for once...I made a Valentine card out of my 3rd hand carved elephant stamp....My daughter Amy was on a role in December. I was lucky enough to get two new elephant stamps for Christmas. Isn't she talented? I got this one first, before Christmas and it took me a while to figure out how I was going to use it. But Valentine's is soon and these new Stampin'Up stamps are perfect! There are so many layers to this card, all I can say is the card base is red. I used some fun new designer... Continue reading

Happy 2017....I haven't been around much in the last few months. I hope to remedy that this year...with more effort and better scheduling of my time. 2016 was a good year with lots of memories, and lots of sales in my Etsy shop. But most of all I want to thank my friends for all the support you have shown on this blog. Thank you for a good year. I started this card days ago and with the arrival of my son from Tuscon, I had other obligations that kept me from finishing it before last night...thus out with the... Continue reading

Welcome this Wednesday....it's 4 days until Christmas...can you believe it...because I can't. I am back with a card to show you...made for a friend, not for sale. I made it with cold winter in mind, most of my ideas come from my living in Colorado. It has to be one of my most favorite spots in all the world. It is also probably the first place I felt at home....what does that say about Colorado? This card has a little of everything. The card base is red and it is matted with white cs. As always I stamped and stamped... Continue reading

It's this Tuesday before Christmas and all through the house, there are not elves scurrying, nor sugarplums...but kitties in bed! It is quiet as I type, we are coming out of a very cold spell...at least cold for us, we hit a low of 22 Sunday night and 27 again last night. Not to worry, I left the heater turned up a bit. Today, I bring you a card I made in October using the new sleigh die from Stampin'Up! with some envelopes I made...I also used the designer paper they had this year...not my most favorite as the colors... Hello, it's Tuesday, but I am not here with a ColourQ post....still MIA, but with a note for you!...I have been working on my items to list in my Etsy shop and the days have been so busy. Thanksgiving was a fun day, but that is now just a blur. We went from very mild and warmish weather to an arctic blast with freezing temperatures. My plants and trees survived, yes I still have some lemons. I am slowly preparing for Christmas as well, taking advantage of Amazon Prime to get gifts where they need to go. The only photo... Happy Tuesday, welcome to another challenge over at the ColourQ . Arielle has given us a treat today, the colors are Basic Black, Newsprint, pick a spot of Color and white. I always love using newsprint and adding just one color is so much fun! I am really looking forward to seeing your projects in the gallery this week. The color I chose was Tangerine Tango. It is a deep and rick fall color, it reminds me of Halloween, but yet I can use it in a totally different way. That is what a color challenge is really, using colors... Continue reading

They are retired Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Hello Honey, Soft Suede and white. I used Riding Hood Red instead.
