It's Friday the 13th....October and Pumpkin carving time. I don't often post in the middle of the day, but I finished up some Halloween cards last night and just got photo's of them finished. I love these Graphic 45 papers...I have had them for a few years and am finally cutting in to them. This card has an orange card base and is matted with Graphic 45 Halloween papers. I also included die cut leaves, some old, some new from Stampin'Up! and a black cat punch. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the Treaters coming by and... Continue reading

September is always a big month for celebrating birthdays or remembering them. I remembered her birthday Tuesday the 26th. I made this card with my mom in mind, she loved fall and all it's beauty as well as Thanksgiving when family would get together. Our Septembers in this area are not so colorful, we will be green again after all the rain we had this week. I used a soft blue card base, and matted with two white mats. The bottom one is embossed with the tree background then rubbed with blue, purple and brown inks. I die cut the... Continue reading

Happy September, to all of you with birthdays. My one and only time to have a September baby was my third, Stephen, who celebrates his 40th today! We lived in a rural area and there weren't many trees in Northwest the color of the leaves weren't as beautiful as in other parts of the state. I loved making this card, coffee cards being one of my favorite things to make using nature as a favorite element. Hope you enjoy this card. I have a pale blue card base and it is matted with white cs and covered in gorgeous... Continue reading

Thanks Rebecca, we are fine. We are enough inland that all we got was some wind and lots of good flooding at my house. Appreciate the prayers as many lost all they had! Happy September to you!
As we finish up the last full week of August, many of you have been busy getting kids back in school...Yes, summer is over although the warm days are not. I used to look forward to school days as a child even though it meant getting up way too early and a long bus ride to school. We always were eager to see old friends and make new about you? I love these graphic 45 images, they were so fun to use, but I must admit, I have been hoarding them. More designer card stock that my daughter bought... Continue reading

July was and August has arrived. I am hoping it is a little cooler! I love summer but not the heat. I think of the colors, the blue of the sky, red roses and yellow sunflowers. I have been working trying to get out orders, while I really wanted to work on back to school and Halloween. Here's hoping the sales continue to be good and I get the new things in the shop soon! I made two cards in the last few days, finishing up this one last night...the last card in July. It has a kraft card... Continue reading

It will be another very hot day in July here is Texas. We moved here from Colorado 8 years ago, but sometimes it seems like yesterday that we were riding through the country, traveling for only the day. We took a wonderful train ride with my grandson, then 3 years old. He is now oh my how time flies! Below find a card I made last night and some photo's taken the day we rode the train from La Veta to Alamosa and back. The card base is a pretty soft green and the card is matted with 2... HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Today will be another warm but beautiful July day...I started celebrating yesterday by making a pizza sharing it with Amy. Today I will watch tennis, baseball and see what mischief I can get into outside! I do enjoy the fireworks after the night baseball game, and of course eating some water melon. This will also mark Tigger Jr's 4th year with us watching Rangers baseball, although he is not as avid a watcher as was Old Tigger! The Garland above is the new one for 2017, up in my Etsy shop! I do so love making... Continue reading

June is fast becoming the hottest month on record. Yesterday we were over 100 and the heat index reached 111...that's hot! I always think of water...the ocean...when it is this hot, longing for a day where the cool ocean breeze will move across my face. I had so much fun making this card, it is indeed magical! The card base is a beautiful blue, although it is not quite like the photo. I have an oval ocean mat and loads of fun ocean grasses and shells. I love this new Stampin'Up Mermaid stamp, so many possibilities! This set is just... Continue reading

Happy June...second day of Summer. I missed saying it yesterday! I was dealing 37 missing listings from my shop...deleted by a glitch in the program. I spent most of the day trying to get someone to fix it...well that happened late Wednesday. I finally got to finish this card...I do love this new stamp set from Stampin'Up! I see a lot of new cards using these wonderfully cute stamps! Card base is a fun deep pink and it is matted with white cs. I love balloon backgrounds for a party atmosphere in the room. What a great place to use... Continue reading

Thank you Becca! I will try Becca!
Happy Thursday! Well I did not make it back until this morning....but I did try. This card has been in my head for a week and I finally got to finish it last night. I have combined this wonderful Country Gentleman card from Graphic 45 Designer card stock with Hampton Arts stamps. My younger son does most of the cooking at his house, so he might appreciate this card. This card has a kraft card base, lots of background papers and stamping. Is it hard to tell what I have stamped and just cut out? The antique cupboard was stamped... Continue reading

A few days ago, we started our 9th year here in Texas...9 years ago we were living in Trinidad, Colorado where I started blogging. I never imagined that I would move much less still be blogging in 2017. Although there have been ups and downs, I still enjoy creating and posting here...I know, I have not come as often, but the days just seem to get away from me. Last weekend it was 40 tags for a gal getting married...I am always busy with my Etsy shop which I started in 2008 as well. If you enjoy my cards, check... Continue reading

Hello, it's June and the weather is cloudy, rainy and muggy! Then it's sunny, warm and muggy...and then there is? I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. It is the first time in a long time that I have missed posting, but I had company and some of them were posting! I have brought you a gorgeous coffee cup card, at least I think it is, oh I love making cup cards. This card has a medium blue card base, a background of blue, green and coffee. I used Tim Holtz die to cut the cups and then... Continue reading

It's Friday, the start to a hot Memorial Day weekend. My family is coming, the first time we have had them for a holiday other than a fall one. I hope the weather cooperates and that it is not too hot. I have been working ahead on cards, this one is not a remake of an old one but does use retired stamps. I love mixing stamps as you know, so I hope you enjoy the colors and the wonderful scene. Other than a kraft card base, there is too much to give credit for to mention. I have wanted... Welcome to my world, it is Saturday! Some of I know are happy, but one day is much like the rest here since my husband is retired. You know of course that a woman is never retired... another subject for another day! Happiness is making a card using up a few scraps! I wish I did not have so many scraps, but I am running out of stamped ones. Now if I could just use up more paper! You might look at this card and say oh my where is she going with this card, but it is one of... Continue reading

Hello, it's going to be another beautiful Tuesday here is South Texas. It seems like we have been warm forever, since we really did not have a winter. My flowers have been in bloom for months and the first tomatoes are ripening. I have had a few bell peppers before something ate all the peppers and stripped the plants of leaves. I have never had that happen before...someone is really hungry! With this coming Sunday being Mother's Day, I am enjoying using the newest stamps from the catalog for the coming year. A Little sneak peak is in order! The... Continue reading

It has been another week since I last just gets busy and I forget to share! Or I don't make anything new, working on things I have shared you have a week like that? Seems like yesterday was Monday and yet it is Friday...I must be having fun! This card has been in my mind for a while, but it finally came together last night when the creative juices kicked in. Do you ever need specific cards for the end of the school year? This card is for that #1 soccer coach, our kids have all had that... Continue reading

Happy Wednesday! I am a little later in the morning...posting, just wasn't finished with this at midnight! I am showing you the second scalloped pop up box card...this one has many more stamped, water colored and fussy cut pieces. It is absolutely gorgeous! At least I think so. Also time consuming and so much fun to make. It takes me a while to pick out papers, then stamps I want to use, once that is done, the design just seems to go piece by piece until the box is full! I wanted to do a coffee themed card...but not just... Continue reading

Blessed Sunday to all! I just had to have it when I saw it...I put myself on two wait lists and finally it came back in stock. What am I talking about?....Lawn Fawn's newest sensational die cut set for the Scallop Pop Up Box Card...I have missed out on so much...wasn't paying much attention to all the box cards being made the last few years. Then when I saw a video demo from Lawn Fawn did I know I had to have this die....I am repeating myself, so let's just get to this card. This is the first card I... Continue reading

Hello, Finally it's the weekend...not sure what that means exactly as I am retired, yet still working on cards to sell! But at least I am around to say it. I wasn't surprised that the customer did not like the card that basically she had was too dark for her uncle. So at 2am I went to bed Thursday night knowing that I would be working on another card on Friday. I love my work, but I also like to play with new toys! The customer told me her uncle loved his with that in mind I put... Continue reading

I have been so busy making some custom cards for a customer...She sent me photo's and chose from designs I have done, then I made them into something special. I guess it not what is in right now...who really knows what is trendy these days... but I just enjoy doing something artsy and different. My friend belongs to an antique car you know how much fun it would be to own one of these cars, much less take a trip in one? A dream come true.... I will show you three different cards, two of which have an Oregon... Continue reading
