We’re moving to Honduras!!!! Honduras - Our New Home! (I tried to think of some witty and imaginative intro for this post, but then I realized nothing can be catchier than that!) Yes, folks EverAfterLand will be learning the Espanol... Continue reading

I'm from Iowa, so I remember how great it was to see Los Angeles for the first time! I also remember, when I moved to the East coast for college, all the negative thoughts and feelings I'd had for my home-state. Almost a superiority, like I was better because I'd "made it out." Ah, the stupidity of youth! And my mom gave me a talking-to one day after I'd made some snide comment. But that only lasted a few years, and then I grew to miss that home-town, all the family I have there, and envy the way they can stay in one place and have lives focused on more important things. And out-of-state Aunts are the best! Every teenager needs a special person that is NOT in their everyday lives and that only knows THEIR side of the story. You get to be #1 cheerleader!

Hi Christa! I am about to do a post on that very thing! So you will have to stay tuned. ;o) (P.S. - you are a MUCH braver woman than I. I did not even TRY that diet!)

Shaira, I truly don't know. Every body handles pregnancy differently. And I had not been good about exercising or eating healthfully before or during my pregnancies. And even if you lose all the weight, you might find your hips are a little wider or your tummy pooches a bit more than before. But, you know, even women who never have children eventually have these same body changes happen as they get older. Such is life! We cannot remain fresh rosebuds forever! I can tell you, after having two babies, watching my waistline go out and come back in, adding a few more years to the tally, I am more confident and assured of myself than I ever had been back when I was a size 4. Mostly, though, enjoy your pregnancy and your new baby. This time is but a drop in the bucket of your life. Take care and God bless!

I'm sorry, I missed your comment, Nicola! Thank you very much. I hope your new attitude is still holding strong! I'll tell you, even after this post, I still struggled - especially after having baby #2. A new post-baby body requires a totally new shift in your thinking, and it takes a while for it to really stick. When you catch yourself in a negative thought, immediately name three good things about yourself. And remember how much that baby loves you!

Hi Jenica! I think you mean the Bootcamp in the book, right? Yes, that's longer. If you've already done the Post Preggo workout, I would head straight for Metamorphosis. It is 30 min cardio/30 min muscular, much more manageable! Tracy prefers you do them one right after the other, but she's not opposed to separating them during the day if that's easier to fit into your schedule. I'm a HUGE corner-cutter, and frequently do cardio for 15 minutes, or cut out the arms on the muscular- just depending on how my morning is going and if I need a shorter workout. Some workout is better than no workout, I say! Hope that helps!

Hi Pamela! Cardio is about 30 minutes and muscle work is another 30. Tracy recommends doing them together, but says it's ok to do them at separate times of the day. Yes, it is a time commitment, but once your body adjusts, it'll actually give you more energy! Personally, I think doing any part of the workout is better than doing no workout at all. But it's your personal decision as to what you think your schedule can handle. Good luck!

Oh the diet! Yes, I need to do a post about that soon. No, would be the short answer. If you have purchased the system, then you probably noticed there is a huge lack of protein in the diet, especially the first week or two. I have learned that my body MUST have protein. I also wasn't thrilled with the lack of calories. My whole philosophy is that, unless somebody is paying me a million dollars to look a certain way, then I'm not starving myself to do it! Now, I did cut back on glutten and white sugar, but I know that those affect my body, they might affect you differently. In short, I ate MINDFULLY! I hope that helps. Long live caffeine!

Hi Sanra! The different Metas have more to do with where you carry your weight than the actual cellulite on your skin. So if, when you gain a few pounds, you see it all on your butt, you'd want the Glutcentric. There is a calculator to help you figure it out, which is wonderful! It's at: http://tracyandersonmethod.com/body-type-calculator/?ref=main-menu As for your cellulite, I think you'll find that the Cardio Workout will help with that. Along with the muscle work, of course! And remember, it's not all going to change in a week. Make sure to give it a few months and then let me know how it's going! Wishing you the best! Jen.

That was it. I was done. I'd had all I could take. So I did what most women with their big-girl panties on would do. I had a breakdown. Right there, in the middle of my kitchen, a couple of... Continue reading

Christmas is one sneaky elf. She got into some scraps of fabric and fashioned herself a very green, very festive, very adorable cape. It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Christmas! Continue reading

We were stunned to see where Christmas set herself up today. "It's a mansion!" Miss Priss said, amazed. If this is what Christmas could put together in one night, I can only imagine what her home at the North Pole must look like! Of course, Miss Priss had to add... Continue reading

Snowman! Our little Christmas! She must really miss it up there at the North Pole. Our fair, not-quite-Southern, not-quite-Northern winters are generally lacking in the snow department. Of course, our little Christmas is gonna make sure the girls don't lack in any department! When she decided they needed a snowman,... Continue reading

Christmas brought a special little something for us today. It's an M&M Nutcracker! She must've overheard our conversations about our date to go see The Nutcracker Ballet. This is so great! I've always thought that the only nut worth coming out of a Nutcracker was a chocolate- covered peanut M&M! Continue reading

After the events of the last couple of days, can you really blame her for playing it a little safe? Christmas found herself a nice, high perch with a good vantage point on a rarely-used living room door. I'm sure our daredevil elf will be back to her regular antics... Continue reading

...NEVER touch the Elf! Remember yesterday when Christmas was perched up on the bannister? Well, Miss Sunshine (the three-year-old) touched our little elf's back as she was traipsing down the stairs. It wasn't malicious. The sweet little girl had poked at her thoughtlessly, not completely understanding that the elf's magic... Continue reading

You know, an elf burns a lot of calories flying to and from the North Pole every night. I'm afraid we have neglected Christmas' dietary needs. Because this morning we caught her red-handed, diving face first into the bucket of leftover Halloween candy. And what is this? Taking a little... Continue reading
