Thanks for commenting Nicola. I definitely cannot speak for Seth - but in the case of my syndicating his post and adding my commentary, I was thinking particularly of public libraries. I whole heartedly agree that the work of "private" librarians and historians is worth every penny and more. Actually - it is a growing job sector - though frequently lumped into historians. On the public library front - my lament is the lack of focus nby our communities in placing a higher priority on investing in keeping pace with technology in the public library. I agree with Seth that on this front we need the intellectual champions to promote this better. It starts with us speaking more loudly to those representing the public dollars.

An excellent reminder - I have a personal Twitter account and a blog on music and as a musician it generates those same more personal discussions. Fortunately - I have a wide band of music I listen to so it is very easy and approachable to chat on music as I may be presenting or discussing wealth management technology. Thanks for the post.

Is there a way to put in my bit.ly key to integrate into the bit.y analytics?

perhaps a more dilbertesque method of using no capitalization or punctuation would make it easier on managers requiring the formerly capitally and font colored abused staff to have to read very carefully and determine what might be important or critical to insuring their customers are serviced properly at the highest level ;>)

This is a great piece and right on point. Process - a conversation a lot of folks do not like to have because it hits close to home with staff and habits - is critical. As you note - it is always the process that is scrutinized no matter what.

I switch between Mac and PC frequently and have noticed on Mac (Leopard) using Safari 4 that the stats on the blog dashboard never finish resolving and don't fully populate. Is this a known issue?
