Almost All Saints
I fell in love with this top at London's All Saints shop in Spitalfieds. But quickly fell out of love when I saw the hefty price tag. So I gathered together a few old T-shirts and a cardigan or two and made my own version. Pretty pleased with it - it has a nice drapey quality For more informat...
Thanks so much. All Saints is pricey - but inspiring for us refashionistas!

Fab costumes. They look absolutely gorgeous!
Batman Vs. Superman
Luckily, these two are actually IRL Besties ((if you're like me and are a bit of a DC Comics nerd, you'll know that Batman has never fully trusted Superman))((and you'll also know that Batman is a bit... well he has a chip on his shoulder doesn't he?)) This weekend we are going to Movieworld...

I love shirring elastic!
The top part was some old linen trousers and the bottom part a silk and linen mix men's shirt. The buttons were from my button box. The shirring elastic transformed it. For more details and a pic of the back, please see my blog.

Gosh, that's lovely - I want one too!
Lola Bag
Bella outgrew one of her favourite t-shirts ... and neither of us wanted to part with it. Instead, I made it into a little bag for her .... and it came out *so* cute I want one for myself ;) It's so simple to do, that I'm sure all you talented people won't need the mini-tutorial for it over ...
Your top looks beautiful. For sun, come over to normally wet old London - we're having one of our rare sunny spells at the mo'!

Vintage Sheet Cami
I made a cami for myself to match a dress that I made for my girl. I used two different vintage sheets that I got at the thrift store. If any of you have the appropriate influence, please send some sun to Oregon! I really want to put my wool sweaters away! Details at My Inner O...
Super-sweet pics. She's so gorgeous - love the skirt too!
Old jeans, no more!
I know everyone has pairs of pants like these. My husband refused to give these up, they were his "motorcycle riding pants", "painting pants", "changing the oil in the car pants", you name it. They were fixed about 10 times. But he wouldn't let me throw them out!! Finally they got placed into ...
This is so cute - love the vintagey feel. I love homemade bias tape too - you can use it in so many places! Well done, thanks for sharing. Fiona
Vintage Sheet Dress
I made dress for my girl from a vintage sheet that I got at an estate sale for a quarter. This is the first time I made my own bias tape. It was fun to make, and I love the results. Details at My Inner Old Lady.
Thanks Edda -- this one turned out pretty well and I am currently wearing it!
C'est chic?
This is one of the easiest and satisfying refashions I've ever done. I took a striped vest I bought in a charity shop for about £2, and added a wide border at the end, made from one of my son's too-small T-shirts. Then I just added a few rows of shirring elastic under the bust to give it (or r...

Brighton Frock
Not so much a refashion as a make from scratch - but I couldn't resist this 50s-style fabric with pictures of Brighton on it (Brighton being a trendy town on the south coast of England). The pattern is the Theresa pattern by Burda which you can get here for a few bucks. I really like it though ...
Thanks for your nice comments on the outfit - I really am getting a bit matchy-matchy in my old age!

Curtain skirt
I'm really pleased with this skirt that I made from a pretty vintage curtain in my stash. It's cut on the bias with a drawstring waist and I think is a very flattering fit on people like me who are quite small waisted but with relatively large hips. To find out about the pattern I used and how...

Baby dresses
I made this dress from a Burda pattern downloaded from here. The black and white one was from a remnant I bought a while back and the yellow one is made from a thrifted retro pillow case. I hope baby Kitty is as pleased with them as I am! For more info please come on over to my blog. Thanks fo...
Hi Melissa
Thanks for the comment. I'm so sorry I said Burda. It is a Simplicity pattern, no. 6576. It really comes up nicely and is super quick, particularly if you do what I do and use press studs under the buttons!
Best wishes
Fiona
