I often wondered why I love musicals so much, and Saturday night I figured it out. Unlike movies with a good plot and great acting, concerts with wonderful music and powerful singing, or performances by nimble dance ensembles, musicals are... Continue reading

Don and I celebrated Valentine's Day a little early this year with an overnight stay at The Lafayette Inn on College Hill in Easton. For years I've been promoting Lehigh Valley Inns and Bed & Breakfasts at trade shows, pointing... Continue reading

I'm glad you enjoyed the escargot! No need to drive to NYC when we have so many great restaurants right here.

You're right, Jim...if you weren't in the holiday spirit when you walked in, you will be by the time you leave. I especially like the youth acts. You mentioning Vynecrest reminded me to get my Passports for the wine trail's March Madness!

Technically they are held on construction sites, but I'm guessing it is more ceremonial, just like the shiney shovels.

Megan, I hope you have pictures of Rosie with the funnel cake! I'm picturing her face full of powdered sugar. A new tradition is born.

That's funny, Megan. Your Mom probably had to make her own picnic lunch too. Happy 1st Mother's Day to you!

I got to hold Marty's gold medal! I didn't think to ask someone to take a picture for me. Maybe some other time.

Yeah, Katie...That's something not easy to forget!

Justin...It figures your crew would cause a commotion! I can't believe this was only the second accident there, especially since they've been open three years. What a great track record! (Sorry,I couldn't resist the pun)

Hey, Kathy... You owe me lunch! :-) Yes, I did walk up the Washington St. hill, which is the only sidewalk I've seen that is soooo steep, it has steps at some point! Setta Luna is wonderful, isn't it? Great, now I'm hungry!

You're right Lauren, I usually just see the EBC guys at trade shows but they are very nice, so if you're in the "T-town" area, stop in and say hello. Oh, and thanks, Jenny, for posting my blog when I was home sick!

Hey Joe... First, my disclaimer: I am strictly against drinking and driving! I worked for 12 years in auto claims and know better. That being said, many a time I was a designated driver for my friends, and they often returned the favor. Some of my fondest 20-something memories (before responsibilities of family) are times spent out having chance meetings with people who ended up being life long friends. As I tell my 20-something son..."Have fun, behave, and be careful"...you're only young once!

That's cool Kim...but grocery shopping isn't nearly as much fun as dining out!

Well, Job...you'll have to come back! Sand's now has BAM, Emeril's Burgers and More restaurant and Carnegie Deli. Oh, and table games have finally been approved so they should be up and running by the summer.

Hi Joe...Actually that was my blog post on America on Wheels! (November 25th) It is good to get the word out that all these places are not-for-profit organizations. Admissions/ticket prices don't cover all their expenses, they need our support to remain open.

Ok, Megan...they're on my list. Let's hope I win the lottery tonight!

Update...the historical marker was from Thomas Turtzo, 610-759-2798. They do have some of the plaques at Christkindlmarkt this year too. I had the year wrong in my blog post, (maybe 1869?) I bought one for myself this year. John, I hope you subscribed to the update comment feed.
