You're right, they were never teammates. Franklin was promoted about two weeks before Miller. Thank you for pointing that out. I changed the phrasing. But while the Mariners have used many of their infielders at multiple positions, they have not done so with Miller, who has played 756 of his 778 (97%) professional innings at shortstop. The fact that they've done so with so many of their infielders, Franklin included, but not Miller further exemplifies my point that Franklin's future with the Mariners is somewhere other than at shortstop.
