Judith,
I was reading your blog when your comment popped up on my email! I'm excited to see where you are going with your blog. I admire you so -- not just the fashion flare but also the heartfelt writing. I'll try to add a hat photo ...

I love movies, but my husband could see one movie a year and be satisfied. Documentaries about Nazis and U-boats -- that's another story. When I leave town for a business trip, I always worry I will come home and find him on the livingroom floor in his underwear with a crazed look on his face, "...
We all need inspiration -- so happy to help!

We actually watched it when we lived in Germany with English subtitles! Still, would be great to watch again. Excellent movie. Thanks for turning me onto Breaking Bad! Love it.

Excellent point about hair product. I probably wouldn't get the desired effect either. Too bad -- Judi looks awesome.

I haven't tried Hulu yet.

Hi Colleen. I thought of you during my hair trauma -- I remember you having a bad incident with hair dye. So happy to hear you are silver now! Keep your eye on that stylist! I do not like texturizing scissors used on my hair. I remind her every single time when I plop down in the chair -- and I always have a discussion about how much to cut. I just think they have a lot going on, and you have to be diligent to protect your interests.
PTSD Hair
Since THE INCIDENT whereupon a brush was stuck in my hair, I've done several things to try and recover from the resulting damage. My stylist cut an inch or two off the length to lift it and create a clean line across the bottom. It probably needed that anyway. My hair does feel thinner to me ...
Another vote for Biotin -- I'm in!! I'll have to do some more reading on evening primrose oil. I'm thinking it is a phytoestrogen. I avoid those because of my ovarian cancer history. Congratulations on finding something that works so well for you!

This is great news, Barbara. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm excited and inspired! Can't wait to see if I get the same results.

I do not use a flat iron -- it damages my hair. I've experimented with oils, conditioners, leave-in products -- all with some success. I always concentrate on the ends to smooth it out. The Living Proof repair line has a leave-in that I am liking.

Did what I had to do. Just wish I didn't have to do it! And yes, he is a prince.
Bad hair day
I started the week with a full head of long hair, and this morning I visited my stylist to see how much of it I can keep. There has been a bit of an accident. Monday night I learned that I would be leaving the next morning at 6 a.m. for a business trip to Washington, D.C. I would spend the night...
Yes, little brushes of the devil!!

You had me at cutting your hair with nail scissors while the tub overflows behind you. OUch!

It didn't feel smooth. It felt weird and stressful yet funny because really? But now that I think about it, hell yeah. Smooth. With a little help from my friends!

I did not see myself as stylish and calm! I just did what I had to do. I'm really not sure what else there was to do. But you had me at aplomb.

It is very OK to laugh. I Googled it, and you are right. This happens more often than one might think.

So I did steal the towel. I don't want it and thought I might drag it back to the Marriott next time I'm visiting. I'm sure they will understand?
