Thank you, Master Vernon! I'm happy to hear from someone who understands that struggling is optional, and that there is choice in every step of our experience! Congratulations on coming to your sanity, your Mastery. Thank you for your inspiration.

Floral prints are a top menswear trend this spring, popping up in full bloom in a wide range of graphics, sizes and colors. The challenge for the average man is to incorporate this romantic trend in masculine ways that sets him apart for the right reasons, while avoiding any risk... Continue reading

A Master manages every thought, feeling, word and action – at every moment. There is only one road to Mastery, and that is Self-Mastery. There’s no thing or no one else to master outside of self. There’s nothing ‘out there’ that you need to overcome or conquer, and as long... Continue reading

Thank you, Simon B! The oxfords may certainly be swapped with a derby or brogue, especially if your lifestyle requires very rare opportunities for truly dressing up. Oxfords are the most formal of the bunch, but derbies and brogues are just as acceptable in semi-formal, dressy casual, and most business situations. As long as the derby or brogue is on the refined side, with finer leather and slender soles and heels, it'll work out just right.

Thanks, Spencer. The resistance and labeling of experiences as good/bad, right/wrong is what causes and prolongs suffering. As you said, allowing things to be — letting go — is the key to unraveling negative emotions on the spot. We always have this option at our disposal, but we must first remember, then choose, to use it!

Oh yes, the trinkets, rituals and all that is not for me, either. Looking back on those days when I had the trinkets and did the rituals, I realize now that they were nothing more than distractions. At the same time, going through that phase was a necessary stepping stone to understand for myself that it isn't necessary after all, and that there is a simple, direct way to know Self without all that... stuff. :) Thank you!

Oh yes... I'm not a fan of the New Age, although if I can get over my initial nausea, there are some bits in there that are pretty solid. The thing that I have a distaste for is the airy, fairy, touchy, feely, lighty, goody, sugary stuff that often comes with New Age material. I honor those who embrace it, but no thanks for me. Let's just say that I'm a big girl now and I like to wear my Big Girl Panties. I am a sovereign being — my own Self, my own I Am. Thank you!

Thank you, Spencer! Yes, I do have a knack for flipping things upside down, inside out and backwards. It's a fantastic way to examine things deeply and verify what is true and what is not for me. Comes to show that all sides are valid in their own way, and that our perspectives are nothing more than the choices we each make on how we want to focus our lens. But yes, this is my style, and I'm happy to find another who shares this rather contrarian quality!

Let’s finish up our 3-part formal wear analysis with a look at some black tie dos and don’ts. ... Wearing a long tie in place of a bow tie is perfectly acceptable, but as this option can look less formal, it’s important to make sure all the other elements are in perfect order. Continue reading

...quitting isn’t for everyone. ...it’s reserved only for the most fearless, confident and intelligent of the bunch. It takes balls to quit and discernment to know what to quit and when to do it. It’s also means not caring about appearances and how other people judge you – quitters quit to please themselves, not others. Continue reading

Whether you praise God or get angry at God, you’re still blaming God. Whether for positive or negative reasons, blaming is the act of assigning responsibility to something/someone outside of yourself. It's an excuse. You give up all your integrity and power away every moment you blame another for anything, without exception, and that includes an external deity that's separate from who you are. Continue reading
