Thank you, Master Vernon! I'm happy to hear from someone who understands that struggling is optional, and that there is choice in every step of our experience! Congratulations on coming to your sanity, your Mastery. Thank you for your inspiration.
The Way of Mastery
A Master manages every thought, feeling, word and action – at every moment. There is only one road to Mastery, and that is Self-Mastery. There’s no thing or no one else to master outside of self. There’s nothing ‘out there’ that you need to overcome or conquer, and as long as you keep aping Don...

Thank you, Simon B! The oxfords may certainly be swapped with a derby or brogue, especially if your lifestyle requires very rare opportunities for truly dressing up. Oxfords are the most formal of the bunch, but derbies and brogues are just as acceptable in semi-formal, dressy casual, and most business situations. As long as the derby or brogue is on the refined side, with finer leather and slender soles and heels, it'll work out just right.

Gosh, we've been on a correspondence marathon the past few days! As always, thank you for your kind words and support, and mostly for the enormous energy you help generate in advancing the potential of awakening for all.
Stop Seeking
Many of you, my dear readers, consider yourselves to be 'seekers'. After all, that's what 'spiritual' people do: seek the truth, seek the meaning of life, seek the wisdom of the universe, seek the Divine. What could be a greater human endeavor than to seek Spirit? And may I ask, how is it going...
Thanks, Spencer. The resistance and labeling of experiences as good/bad, right/wrong is what causes and prolongs suffering. As you said, allowing things to be — letting go — is the key to unraveling negative emotions on the spot. We always have this option at our disposal, but we must first remember, then choose, to use it!
Don't Fake the Funk
All of us get into a funk once in a while. A funk is, well, a funk.... It’s one of those moments when you’re feeling a bit funky, wonky, out-of-sorts for no apparent reason. It usually hits you out of the blue and sinks your energy down to a point where you feel unmotivated, cranky, anti-soci...
Thank you, Spencer. Very well said!
Cut the Crap Already!
This comes as a follow up to, and as a great example of, my last post, "I May Not Be Perfect, But...." I ran across this quote today and couldn't resist calling it out. I can't stand it when I come across pseudo-inspiration like this. I don't understand why society, especially women, think the...
Oh yes, the trinkets, rituals and all that is not for me, either. Looking back on those days when I had the trinkets and did the rituals, I realize now that they were nothing more than distractions. At the same time, going through that phase was a necessary stepping stone to understand for myself that it isn't necessary after all, and that there is a simple, direct way to know Self without all that... stuff. :) Thank you!
Everything Is Not One
Q: What did the Buddhist Monk say to the hot dog vendor? A: “Make me one with everything.” As a former Buddhist practitioner, I can vouch that the above joke is not entirely accurate. However, there’s no denying that many spiritual, or New Age (cringe alert!) circles recite the mantra of “We A...
Oh yes... I'm not a fan of the New Age, although if I can get over my initial nausea, there are some bits in there that are pretty solid. The thing that I have a distaste for is the airy, fairy, touchy, feely, lighty, goody, sugary stuff that often comes with New Age material. I honor those who embrace it, but no thanks for me. Let's just say that I'm a big girl now and I like to wear my Big Girl Panties. I am a sovereign being — my own Self, my own I Am. Thank you!

Hi there, Spencer. Thank you very much! I see that you also have a blog. I will make sure to come by and read your wisdom. :)
Lunch with the Creator
If you were invited on the spot, without notice, to meet the Creator for lunch in the next few minutes, how would you respond? Would you be prepared? Would you feel joyful anticipation for a chance to finally meet Spirit? Or would you feel embarrassed to present yourself? Ashamed, even? Maybe ...
Thank you, Spencer! Yes, I do have a knack for flipping things upside down, inside out and backwards. It's a fantastic way to examine things deeply and verify what is true and what is not for me. Comes to show that all sides are valid in their own way, and that our perspectives are nothing more than the choices we each make on how we want to focus our lens. But yes, this is my style, and I'm happy to find another who shares this rather contrarian quality!

Good one, morris eh... yeah, it sure does!
Pictures from the Microverse
The world is magnificent – everywhere. Unfortunately, we're too caught up focusing on the things that are only visible to the naked eye, and boy are we missing out on a raging party! As stupendous and glorious as the macroscopic world is, the microscopic ('micro' based on our perspective, anyway...

Stop Blaming God
Thank God for _____; I guess what I prayed for isn’t part of God’s plan for me; This must be a test from God; Things aren’t working out so well... what’s God trying to say to me? Blah blah blah. It doesn’t matter. Whether you praise God or get angry at God, you’re still blaming God. Whether ...

To all you awesome commenters above: My sincerest apologies for leaving all of you hanging without a reply for almost 3 (!) years. That was really sucky of me to slip off the grid so abruptly, and for so long. I'll do better now, so hope you'll come back! :)

Here's a decent, good-looking fella. He's clean-cut and put-together. His clothes fit well. He seems like a nice guy, and there's generally nothing much to pick at. At the same time, he's just an Average Joe in a basic, ubiquitous uniform favored by millions of unimaginative American men: the al...
