The shirring looks so easy, definately so much easier when you see the pictures of whats happening. I may be tempted myself! Oh, and you could not have walked away from those shoes - it would be a crime :-)

Hi Lisa, I love the leaf scarf! Recently I have turned an old pair of kids curtains into a large bean bag (didn't need curtains anymore as moved to a room with a velux window) I have also made pretty chennille cushions from loads of differents fabrics, old shirts, tablecloths, second hand duvets etc, by layering 4 or 5 together with the prettiest one on top, then sewing diagonally through all the layers in 1/2 lines, then cutting through all but the bottom layer. Washing these a few times makes them soft, fluffy and frayed and they make cute cushion covers. I made a bowl out of recycled yarn from a scarf that wasnt really my colour, layered it with some soluble interfacing, randomly sewed all over then moulded over a bowl I already have

Hi Lisa, youre wee break away (shhh - saying it quietly so Al doesnt hear) looks fabulous, have a fantastic time. I am unusually organised this year, and its scary, I am used to last minute rushes, I always feel I am missing something if I am ready by the end of November! Anyway hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and lovely leisurely New Year x
