we would use this to burn up all that extra energy the kids have when it is too cold to play outside. actually, the sooner we can get one of these, the better!
i just found out that you can find seven for all mankind jeans on ebay. i think i know one mama who needs a new pair of jeans!
our family would definitely use this as a way to stay in shape. we need the exercise and this would make exercising fun. plus, on cold winter days, i can use this to keep my kids from going stir crazy!
we use google calendar and really like it. i can click on over from my gmail account (sometimes it will even put in my event for me from reading my email). my husband uses it so we can see both our schedules at the same time. it automatically put in the holidays for us so we know when the kids will be off, etc. even the book club i'm a part of synced book club dates so we have everything together in one place. this summer i printed a hard copy so my kids could easily see what we had scheduled for each day. i'm sorry you didn't like it! i hope you find something that works better.

i am going to be running three kids around to three different schools, plus three different after school classes. i could really use something like a netbook or ipad to let me do my internet stuff in the car while i wait to taxi someone somewhere else...

we just got back from tennessee with my husband's family for a week and now we are getting ready for a week in michigan with my family. it might have been better to marry someone who lived closer to my family!

i could use a freeze gun every morning (i would like more time to sleep in) and every naptime (even with sleeping in, i would like a longer nap).

we have printed none of our photos for a very long time. being able to do it right at home might mean i could actually have some of our pictures framed and available!

Hypothetically, if our family had to deal with a case of lice, it might just feel like the worst thing in the world. Panic might set in at the thought of bugs crawling all over our furniture, our bedding, stuffed... Continue reading

Congratulations on your "victory." I can see how you were able to make such a "reason"able case. Quite honestly, my intention was not to enter into a "messy divisional battle" but just to say how, as a mom, I infinitely prefer a policy of school uniforms. I really don't care about the "extensive research summary" or the "lack of supportive evidence." This is not at all the kind of essay I was writing here. I was not trying to create "agenda driven" policy. I just wanted to share with others how much I appreciate a policy of school uniforms.

amy this is awesome! i will sing the praises of the epidural with you and join in the chorus of not touching a slimy head or even imagining what that head looks like as it comes out. i like to keep my eyes closed, thank you very much! i hope your delivery goes "according to plan"...

we just found out my daughter wasn't accepted into any of our top choices. this has been so stressful and crazy. now we will have three kids in two different schools. and who knows how they will be affected by all the crazy budget cuts.

our first two are three years apart and the next two are two years apart. i don't remember that being particularly hard. i think the transition from one to two is hard as you learn to divide your attention. but thankfully the recovery is so much easier the second time around. it isn't nearly as hard on your body--for labor, delivery or recovery. and you have a lot more confidence as a parent. so don't psych yourself out. two isn't terrible--whether they are two, three or more years apart!

i breastfed until 18 mos, 16 mos and 17 mos. it does seem like they lose interest after awhile...but i remember wanting to do it less and less in public the older the got. it was hard to deal with people acting like i was weird for continuing even though we were both enjoying it so much...
