Since I started gardening 30 years ago, I've had a number of accidents that have resulted in the following injuries: Broken ankle Broken thumb Broken fingers (4) Broken wrist Broken arm Broken ribs Broken spirit (when plants die unexpectedly) Numerous lacerations requiring sutures Double-hernia surgery (too many big boulders) Of course, I've also had encounters with bees, wasps, poison ivy, and black widow spiders. So am I just a klutz? Maybe. Nevertheless, I obviously need insurance coverage, and I'd love more choices. I think a public option is an excellent idea. Without it, there will be no real "change" in health-care reform.

Granulated castor oil, sold under the trade name Chase, among others, is fairly easy to find these days. There's also a liquid form, but I think the granular product works better. It doesn't harm the moles. It merely sends them over to your neighbors yard. I select you choose the neighbor you don't really get along with, and we all have one of those, don't we?

The porosity of terra cotta is one of its main attributes, so I don't seal the pots. Yes, it does get hot here in Tulsa, but most of my container plants are shaded in the afternoon. That's good for the plants, and for me as well, because when I water late in the day, the ice in my beverage doesn't melt too quickly.

Please. Stop. You're all too kind. And Susan, well, I can't wait to give you a big hug! Launching a website is a bit of a chore, but I'm having fun with it. I'm on the site every day, often several times a day. Hey, it's not like I have real job any more. We have plans to produce a series of webisodes once I straighten out some contract issues with HGTV. I can't wait for those to hit the site. So thanks to all of you for supporting my new venture, and for the endless half hours you've set aside in your busy lives to watch my show. I'm grateful, and I know that each and every one of you is responsible for my success. Peace.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words. It's very gratifying to know that you're willing to follow me from the tube to the web. You all inspire me as well. And a shout out to my cousin Toni! I haven't seen you in years, but I look forward to trying your wines.
