Amber, I think it's great that your daughter has so much family to get to know! Although I can see how it can be overwhelming. I'm very happy that I have cousins from my mom's side of the family that I wish I knew better, but it's hard because we don't live close to each other.

OMG that looks like it hurt - a LOT.

Oh Lyn, what a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it. I'm sorry to hear Lillian is not doing well.

Great post! I remember feeling guilty if someone asked me if my baby was sleeping well and I had to say no. My 2nd daughter was not a good sleeper, and somehow I always felt like it was my fault!

Hi Jeanie, Thanks for responding to my post. That's an interesting website - lots of positive information there. While I may not agree with all that's said, I do agree that women should be happy with who they are, no matter what size they are. My goals are to be healthy and happy - I'm not striving for a specific size, but rather a good balance of activity and healthy foods.

Hi Lois, Thank you for commenting. I think as long as we keep trying, that's all we can ask of ourselves. If we give up, then we lose the battle.

Hi Lee, Thanks for the response! Its great that you're accepting yourself for the size you are. It is much more important to be healthy and happy than to be a certain size.

Hi Rox, Thanks so much for your comments. I'm definitely working toward being healthy. I'm not concerned so much about size as I am about being active and eating healthy foods and portions.

Good for you! All parents need time away from the kids. I have yet to do that, but I know my hubby and I need to do it soon!

I hope you can do it! It really is refreshing - I will definitely do it again...I can see myself getting sucked right back in now...

LOL, its hard, isn't it? I thought I was going to go crazy when I did it, but after the first day I really enjoyed the extra time I had.

The Internet really is a lifeline for you, Emily. And I agree - I would much rather be online that watch TV!

I would like to win package #1. I run my own eBay business from my home, but have no fax machine, which would be helpful. Also, my scanner is about 15 years old and currently sits on my desk unconnected to my computer, so is basically useless! Going to tweet the contest now! Thanks! Jenn

Gorgeous pictures and family! You take fantastic photos.
Oh I hear ya on the Facebook thing! Overall I think Facebook is great, I have connected with lots of old friends and classmates. Then my ex-boyfriend's face popped up on the side of my screen, and I was like - "Whaa?? What the? Why is HE there? He didn't even go to my school??" Turns out he was friends with someone in my senior class, they connected on Facebook, and BAM! there he is on my screen. There's definitely a downside to the whole Facebook thing.

I won't tell anyone you're online reading my post, wink, wink! It gets easier as the week goes on, actually. The first few days I felt like I was missing an appendage.

I guess we short nails and flip-flop Jersey moms just aren't good TV, eh? Being Italian as well, I've only said "fugghedaboudit" when joking about being an Italian originally from Brooklyn. I hate how these shows (this one and Sopranos) make all NY/NJ italians look like idiots who can't TAWK right and have connections. I'll be skipping this show, I'm afraid. I have enough reality in my own life to follow someone else's!

So cute! You never get a 2nd chance to eat a Peep for the first time, lol.

Wow, 18 months and 17 years - that's quite a spread! Peek-a-boo is the best - my 18 month old also likes to play after her bath. She moves the towel so sloooowly over her face, and just peeks her eyes over it, its so funny and cute.

That part of why I started the lists - because I don't want to think of their young childhood only in terms of dirty diapers and tantrums. Thanks for commenting!
