Ha ha! Thanks, it takes me ages to get around to photographing and posting, so I am not sure that I will have time before WR is closed, but I post on Burdastyle!
It's been a whole month!
So I signed up for my wardrobe refashion pledge around the end of October, which means for a whole month I haven't bought anything new...so I've been making some things to fill the void! The red skirt was originally a giant shirt dress, very 90's looking - I wish I took a before pic but I was t...
I like both skirts, but especially the red one, it looks very current!

Cool! I have always wanted to alter a pair of men's vintage trousers to fit me, but the inseam is too hard to alter!
I like your jumper!
the size 14 to size 6 shorts
Hey, it's vic! this is a pair of shorts that was once a size 14, but now it fits me. They are now some of my favorite shorts! I took them in on the side seams and the back seam, ripping/cutting and then resewing the waistband, and then topstitching it into place. It was a little tricky, but ...
I love the buttons too! Your cardigan is very pretty and a huge improvement from the jumper
Sweater to Cardigan
Before: After: I used Grosgrain's tutorial on turning a sweater into a cardigan. More info and a link to her tutorial on my blog. twobutterflies
Nice!! Love it with the belt!
Sentimental Heart Dress Redo
I used Burdastyle's Fatina pattern to remake this dress I thrifted for a buck! It looks a heck of a lot better now! You can see a few more pics at my blog.
These definitely count!
I think your quilt is one of the best examples of a t-shirt quilt I have seen! It is so bright and colourful, and everything is so straight and even!
Hello...
I am looking forward to having a go at refashioning clothing. So far I have only refashioned t-shirts into quilts and blankets. I am dreaming of a serger, but for now I will refashion with my sewing machine. Here are some examples of a quilt and a blanket using t-shirts, I know they don't qua...
Thank you for the lovely compliments! I have enough trouble posting here regularly to keep my own blog! I like yours though, I will have to join your Crafty Christmas Club - it is a really neat idea!
Refashion Catch-up
Hello everyone! Been keeping an eye on everyone's work, but haven't posted in a while. So here is my catch up: The first two are old, but I don't think I have posted them before. The first skirt is made from a lace curtain and lined with the backing from another curtain. The second skirt is ma...

You made something that looks really wearable out of something really frumpy - well done!
zigzag tunic sweater
I almost forgot to take a before picture! Anyhow, I scored this boxy sweater at a yard sale for 0.25 cents. I turned it into a tunic that I can wear with a pair of leggings.
Nice work!
Butterfly shirt
Butterfly shirt sleeves – 100% recycled man’s shirt. The shirt is completely disjointed and re-cut. The sleeves are kept in full with gathers and lifts to give them more depth and volume More détails and photos on Ma Chemise d'homme Upcycled menswear for women
I love the body of the coat...I would wear that!
A Wool Coat and Some Pixie Wings
I wanted to show you part of the Halloween costume I working on for my 2 yo. She is going to be a Pixie and I don't want her mistaken for Tinker Bell. I finished the wings and a coat yesterday. I used 2 felted thrift store afghans. I used 2 hangers, a pair of pantyhose, a ton of modge ...
I agree, shorten it!
Dress Refashion - Opinions Wanted
I bought this dress at the thrift store the other day for $1. There's a lot going on here that's not good - shoulder pads, big huge collar, and that weird skirt thing that not only makes your hips look bigger, but also draws the eye straight to them. But I liked the polka dots and I thought ...
Congratulations! He is so little!
Green is my favourite colour too, and I do like polyester dresses, but they do not like me - maybe it is the Australian climate, but they don't breathe so can only realistically be worn in cold weather, but Winter it is too cold, so really there are only a few weeks in Spring and Autumn that they are practical, and I already have enough for that, I have had to swear off them, sadly.
Pretty Nifty Thrifting
So I recently had my son... 4 weeks ago to be exact. I gained all of 75 lbs and I don't fit into anything. I took a bunch of my pre pregnancy clothes to a resale shop that buys things and got some cash to go thrifting... here is what I got :) I absolutely love polyester vintage dresses and gre...

Hello
Hi all !!!! My name is Jennifer and I've been a Wardrobe Refashion fan for a while now but have been too scared to take the pledge. Not because I'm a huge shopper, actually I am but it's almost all thrift store shopping, but the posting, technology stuff made me nervous. So, here's hoping I d...
So cute!!
Kingston's Patch Jeans Inspiration + Tutorial!
So I'm in love with little Knigston Rossdale ((Gwen Stefani's oldest son)). He has a cool wardrobe! I saw quite a few pics of him in these jeans. Adorable. So I got a pair of my son's ugly hand-me-down jeans + transformed them into these! Check out more pics and the tutorial here
EVeryone likes pockets!
Big Ugly Pants
When I bought these large pants ($1) I thought I could make skinny jeggings for myself, but quickly let go of that idea after seeing this before shot! Being a larger size, I had plenty of fabric to make pants for my big boy, even though they're a little bit baggy still. I even re-used the o...
I like the collar!
rosy Restyle
a coat that I made from a bedspread that I made last year. It's sweatshirt fleece and was easy and fast to do..under four hours and only that long because I did the sewing by hand... how to is here: http://spindlejigs.blogspot.com/2010/08/rosy-restyle.html
Very thrifty!
Embellished Tank
I had a plain white tank. It was very useful. I wore it under sweaters, or other shirts for a layered effect. One day I decided to wear it while I painted my nails...red. So After I got a big glob of red nail polish on this tank, I decided to try to cover it with something. Here's what I c...

The colour is so summery - I am jealous - it is cold, wet and miserable in Canberra tonight.
Loire Valley skirt
I made this skirt out of some Ikea fabric I scored for £3/metre. Bargain! The pattern is McCalls 5631. More pics and info on my blog :)
This is awesome! I especially love the skirt part of the dress!
Peachy gauze dress
First I must apologize. After making a four month pledge at the beginning of July, I went on an epic family visit which swallowed that month in it's entirety slurping the past few weeks worth of productivity down with it. So, here I am on August the seventh typing my first post of the pledge. Sor...
Thank you everyone!
Sofa Skirt
When my beloved Aunty told me that she planned to have her sofa re-upholstered the first thought I had was "can I have the old fabric?" Despite thinking that I was a little strange, my aunt graciously saved me some fabric. I had to wash it twice to get all of the dust out, and in the wash the w...
