Gaurav, I wonder whether your IT is blocking the service for some reason? as it should work if signed in to 360
Yes you can use it commercially, however I guess I didn't mention that you cannot print/plot with these maps, they are purely for your use in design than final presentation
Unfortunately will be a couple of weeks yet. You can always switch out the Civil 3D part. I take it you can only see the IDS download now on subscription center?
Currently only US English is available for IDS. Local releases you should see next week. I will announce on here when they are live and ready to download. Civil regards Jack
Yes you still need to add it as it needs this version 4 specifically Good luck with it Jack
If you register for the webcast you will be able to watch it afterwards Civil regards Jack
Read my words again, you should be happy Civil regards Jack
Glad that fixed it, can't have my icon broken :) Enjoy your week! Jack
Just installed it myself and it ran fine with the UKIE icon. Potentially your issue is to do with the secondary installer. Did you install Civil 3D yourself or did you have someone in IT install originally? If you delete your user profile it might repair it. I would personally log an issue with our support team on subscription centre and get their advice Also you could check out this post on the Being Civil blog on resetting user profiles http://beingcivil.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/05/add-reset-user-settings-in-civil-3d-2012.html Jack
Keep watching on this blog for how you can get that updated tool. Jack
Yes it has been removed as the volume dashboard is more informative on where you results come from. However the command (_AeccReportSurfaceVolume) is still retained, so you can either add to the toolbox or to the ribbon etc if you still wish to use it. Jack Strongitharm
We just need him in his black shirt to add him to the mug shot. Great to get you on board !! Jack
This isn't a training session, more of an education on the topic and what is possible. Thanks Jack
What are you refering to here as your comments have nothing to do with Civil 3D and Project Silverstar? You are best discussing on the student forums Civil regards Jack Strongitharm
Welcome to John, took his time! As you can see he has too much hair, that soon greys and falls out like mine Make the most of map functionality in Civil and our other mapping product, you will be amazed to what you have missing out on. Jack

You can use subassembly composer pkt files with both 2011 and 2012. Its only the corridor solids tool which is 2012 only. So if you are still on 2011 as your main version, you could at least just open and create the solids with 2012 and send them to a new drawing as it will still be 2010 dwg format. Jack
Made some changes, thanks for all the comments http://fromthegroundup.typepad.com/from_the_ground_up/2011/09/cut-and-fill-tadpoles-the-re-visit.html Jack
Check your style is set to bylayer in the components. There will be one for the tadpole block and another for the line extension. Jack
I can answer that one. We have a slight issue on how regions get exported and that especially with those region stations picked from screen or the intersection/junction tool gaps are possible. Not always obvious in Civil 3D. So the quick fix for now is to add 1mm or a small value in the frequency at the start of those affected regions and they will close. Jack Strongitharm

Mine too, you are not alone. You checked out the new corridor setting out report in the UKIE kit in 2012?

Afraid not the expert in these areas, but surely if you set something up in the image, that is what gets pushed out?
This was all enabled through AutoTRACK working on Civil 3D. Their Junction/Intersection module of AutoTRACK connects direct through to Arcady and links everything together. The AutoTRACK roundabout is creating the Civil 3D alignments dynamically from the data and the Civil 3D corridor model reacts to the changes that are taking place. Really simple!
