Without any info it's difficult to say what the problem could be. The best would be if you asked this question on the AutoCAD API / ObjectARX forum and provide as much info as possible: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/objectarx/bd-p/34 Thank you
I'm not sure. However, you could also just simply use the VBA code and then place a button for it in the UI: http://modthemachine.typepad.com/my_weblog/2016/02/creating-a-button-for-a-vba-macro.html

Fusion Lifecycle has a RESTful API which can be accessed through simple HTTP requests, and so can be used from a Fusion 360 add-in/script as well: http://modthemachine.typepad.com/my_weblog/2015/10/call-web-services-from-fusion-add-in.html I had a bit of difficulty doing HTTP requests from a JavaScript Fusion... When creating a 3D PDF file for a document, it needs to be visibly open inside Inventor. This is currently the requirement. However, you can have an invisible Inventor instance doing the 3D PDF generation, as discussed here. So you... Continue reading

What exact error are you getting on that line? You should try it from VBA and then debug into the code and investigate the various objects. Maybe in that specific sketch you don't have dimension constraints? The best thing would be to post this question on the Inventor Customisation forum. That's much better for this than the comments section of the blog :)
It only updates the references in the files which have also been added for save inside Apprentice.

I don't have that version installed at the moment. Could you just follow the above steps? I "think" it contains everything you need.
Hi Antoine, First you should check if you can even do it in the UI. If that is running into issues too then the API won't be able to do it either. If you need more help then best would be to log this on the Inventor Customisation forum and provide more information on what exactly you are doing. Cheers, Adam
It's only the "DTPackAndGo.tlb" library that you need to reference plus the apprentice library - see the above sample code. Have a look at the "SimpleApprenticeExe" sample that is part of the SDK that is installed along with Inventor.

Hi, It should still work. Did you check it in a drawing view of an assembly as mentioned in the comments of the code? What error are you getting? Cheers, Adam
Hi Denis, it prints the result in the VBA "Immediate" window: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2916287/where-does-vba-debug-print-log-to

Hi Claudia, You could just ignore those components from the selection. You could keep track of all the ComponentDefinition objects and if a ComponentOccurrence already had that Definition then you could ignore it. If you also want to unhighlight the component that might be tricky - as far as I remember iLogic was not good at updating the UI in that case. So for that using highlight set might be better: http://adndevblog.typepad.com/manufacturing/2016/01/keep-selection-between-rule-executions.html Cheers,

Actually, modifying the Alignment Angle wasn't the best thing to do in my previous article. I should have played with the RevoluteJointMotion.rotationValue instead. That's what the "Drive Joints" command is modifying as well. And this way the Joint Limits will... Continue reading
