Well, the surprise is on me today! I stopped in to see what I had left for a forwarding link and <surprise>!! my Christmas post was all I found. Sorry about that. If you have been following me for a while, you'll remember when about 1-1/2 years ago I drug everyone over here to my New Blog. Well, I have come to the conclusion I do not have enough time or focus to use all the bells and whistles here. Soooo...there is really no reason to pay to blog here when I can move back to my original (free) blog.... Continue reading

Are you running out of time? Did you get all your goodies and homemade treats done and presented to your friends and neighbors? If not, here's an idea that you can make without messing up your kitchen! The base is a giant-size Hershey bar. The recipient will smile after reading the poem under the flap. This idea was shared with me several years ago and I saved the poem* (ate the chocolate, of course). So I hope you can put it to good use as well. *Click on the picture for a larger view Thanks for stopping by and have... Continue reading

You know...the one you bought with good intentions of making a darling Christmas countdown... so grab it and get you're ready to go! The image panel is die cut--just punch out and glue on. Sentiment is from Tags Til Christmas stamp set. Love that set because it coordinates with so many punches making tags quick and easy. The real red grosgrain ribbon is included for the handles. I added satin ribbon, die cut snowflake, and a button from the Candy Cane... Continue reading

Have you been wondering about this? Well, since I did not take a picture early, I have no photo of the cards this month. But trust me, they're fabulous! :) I can show one of them that I photographed by itself. Sort of a sneak peek, I guess. This card was designed by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Becky Roberts. I made some for the craft fair and thought you would love them, too. Ready to sign up or see the details about how Cards of the Month club works? Visit my Cards of the Month Club page. Apparently I did get a picture of Tom Turkey before the camera fell off the table. Isn't he a fun little guy? The punches I used: scalloped circle, 1-1/4" circle, 3/4" square (discontined), modern label, and 3-flower (discontinued). The scallop circles are cut in half for the tail so it only takes 4 of them for the turkey. Beak is just a triangle, and I doodle the eyes with a basic black Stamp'n Write marker. Tom is stuck together with Tombow multi-purpose liquid adhesive (my favorite) and adhered to a top note die cut. But he would look good on... Continue reading

my camera broke and I didn't have any pictures of Cards of the Month? And I didn't have time to take it in to be looked at right away? Yep, that's what's going on here. I have determined that digital cameras are not nearly as tough as the old film-style point and shoots. I have a couple projects left to share and then I won't have new ones until either my camera is fixed or I get a new one. It's a strange feeling. Tomorrow I will have a picture (borrowed from a fellow demonstrator) of the turkey toppers punch... Continue reading

Many people in the United States confuse Veterans Day with Memorial Day or are just not clear on exactly what today is all about. Here's great site that has all kinds of wonderful information about Veterans Day. Visit http://military.com for a History of Veterans Day, ideas of how to Celebrate Veterans Day with children, and much more. Got a minute to pay tribute? Watch the Veteran's Day slide show. As for me and cub scout pack 306, we will be stationed outside our local grocery store this afternoon collecting donations to send scout popcorn to our military personnel overseas. Many... As I am getting ready for a craft show this Saturday, I am trying to use up old designer series paper. Here is a gift set that can be made for any occasion just by changing the colors or paper and cardstock. Don't you love the faux stitching? I did make a pattern when I came up with this so I will try to get that shared at some point. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Tasha Need supplies? You can order directly from my SU site! As promised, here are a couple more gift boxes. All made the same, just different paper and decorations. You can see a tutorial on these boxes here. The two Christmas ones are part of my using up old designer series paper. But the embellishments are all available. Both the ornament and "dec. 25" stamp are from the set Tags til Christmas. In fact, the Tags til Christmas stamp set can be bundled with either the decorative label punch (right) or the ornament punch for a 20% savings. Rhinestones and glitter and the finishing touch. With 150 rhinestones for $4.95, you... Continue reading

Fancy chocolates come in packages like these, so why not your special treat? This box is simple to make and uses an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock. I am getting ready for a craft fair on the 13th so will make several of these. They are easy to change for each season/holiday. For today's I used Peach Parfait cardstock and the Autumn Days stamp set. Yep, I'm still enamored with making acorns using the ornament punch! I'll share some more tomorrow. Pretty sure I posted instructions to this box style a year or two ago. If I can't find... Continue reading

If you live in the US, don't forget to vote today! Doesn't Tess look fabulous as she heads to the polls? Decked out in her patriotic outfit complete with a punch art hat. Her hat is made with the large oval punch and the large tag punch. For such a bright color combo, I did have to reach into my retired colors and pull out the brilliant blue from Stampin' Up! Who says tinsel is just for Christmas? A piece of Stampin' Up!s silver tinsel adds just the right amount of sparkle to Tess's hat. Love Tess, too? She is... Continue reading

Hope you had a terrific Halloween weekend. I've been waiting for it to be over so I could share this new version of the cocoa packet I have made for the last few years. It's a mug!! I liked the old ones but knew I didn't want to make the same old thing so I sat down and figured out how to make a mug out of the same amount of cardstock. These take a 1/2 sheet just like a standard (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") card so they are great for mass production. They are great for teachers to give to... Continue reading

Hopefully by now you've realized that punches can be used for so many things other than the obvious. While I love the ornament punch for Christmas, it's even better when you can use it all through the year. Aren't those acorns fun? And soooo easy! The background is peach parfait cardstock stamped with French Foliage stamp set in certainly celery, daffodil delight, and cajun craze. The acorn is simply an ornament punched out of crumb cake. The cap is soft suede run through the Big Shot in the square lattice embossing folder. A bite taken off one edge with the... Continue reading

It is one fantastic Friday here at my house. November Cards of the Month went well this morning, my house is clean, the Halloween costumes are (mostly) done, and I got a surprise in the mail! But first I will share the card I received last week from my sister-in-law: Isn't it great? A little fancy without being fussy and definitely celebratory. I smiled all day after receiving that card. She's so good about sending cards and this was a congrats for my Stampin' Up! promotion that I shared recently here. One of the big reasons I love being a... Continue reading

In between "taxi runs" I managed to tackle something that was bothering me. I ordered this Revolving Caddy Photo Frame from my daughter's school fundraiser. Believe it or not, it looks worse in person! So I had to add a little something to it. With about a 15 minute time frame I had to think fast. So I grabbed a retired rub-ons pack, some ribbon, buttons, and sticky strip. The top is finished with ribbon. I didn't cover the the top (ribbon is on backside) because I need to slide the pictures in from the top. The photo spots didn't... Continue reading
