So...I am going to get a little controversial here, but I saw this post on WWW.Robbwolf.com and it really made me think. What are your thoughts on this topic??? Happy Birthday to me.... LOL- no seriously today is my 40th birthday and it is "my" blog so I wanted to celebrate with my Crossfit and Paleo peeps! According to a public health nutrition study... When people were asked to rate 4 meals based on a written description only, they ranked the meal that included a vegetable as the yummiest. Interesting??!! They concluded that when vegetables are present people anticipate the meal tasting better, perhaps that is because it fullfills the notion of what a complete meal should look like. Happy Day after Cinco De Mayo! So yesterday I had plenty of time on my hands and the weather was a little less than perfect so I decided to cook. What you ask...well I decided in honor of Cinco De Mayo that I would make Carnitas...from scratch. Happy last day of April...on to a new month:-) Sue sent me this link last week (www.budget101.com) and I thought that I would share it with you all- not sure how everyone feels about making your own products BUT the dollars and cents totally makes sense as well as the fact that there too many strange chemicals out there. Making your own detergent might work for some who are sensative to chemicals, fragrances, etc. Has anyone ever made something like this? I am curious to hear from you. Happy Monday everyone- I wanted share updated pictures of my Garden...we had our first "harvest" just the other day. LOL - when you see the pictures. But I was so excited...the first of the strawberries were ripe and ready to be eaten. (I may have even broken doctors orders to try one...shhh...don't tell!) I am very excited so far with just how nicely each of my plants has progressed.
