So, wow, I let another whole summer go by without blogging. In my defense, I have been quite busy. A new baby + lots of design jobs + gardening + getting as much outside time as possible with the family... Continue reading

Sarah, You are very welcome. Do go and find that book. It really helps to put things in perspective and it helps to know you aren't the only one feeling the way you feel.

So, I realized I forgot a few things I'd like to add to this post (imagine me forgetting things with the amount of sleep I've been getting lately). This morning, Dylan is wanting Daddy since he was the one who went in last night with him. But, Daddy is at work. And Dylan just isn't getting it. He wants me to go away and Daddy to open the door. And he's crying and upset. He lets me hug on him, but he wants to "go back to bed" and he wants "daddy. I wish so much that he would stop and listen and understand what I'm telling him. This also applies to the concept of later....although that one is coming along (unless he's upset...then forget about it). I think that's all for now. I'm sure I'll remember something else soon.

When babies are newborns, the only way to catch a smile is while they are sleeping. Like this: And then, sometime during the fifth week, you catch a glimpse of a real smile. And we've gotten more and more smiles... Continue reading

First, a song (I love his moves): That's one of Dylan's favorite songs. He gets way excited about singing it. :) Spring has finally hit here in Alaska. The snow melted slowly....and Dylan liked riding his tricycle into what was... Continue reading

So, the juggling act that is my life has been going pretty well. I bounce between the kids (still seems odd to say "kids" in the plural). Dylan is back to being his usual self these days. Once Grandma and... Continue reading

After our successful handprint project, Dylan wanted to paint every day for a few days. He tends to be a very literal kid and tended to just make dots of colors and then be done. So, I tried to take... Continue reading
