Interests: I'm a digital scrapbooker who still plays with paper sometimes, a photographer, a quilter, and I just learned to crochet. And I am not allowed to find anymore hobbies! I'm also married with three kids and I used to be an attorney before I entered the land of SAHMs. Currently, I'm stuck in the midwest and dream of returning to the coast of Maine one day

I am so overwhelmed by the feedback I got on yesterday's post, both here and on Facebook. You can read the post here if this doesn't make sense - Project Life Prints vs. Books. I am kind of on sensory... Continue reading

Kim, I totally agree with that!!! I just got back some pages from 2014 and feel the exact same way! I think I've just got toooooo many layouts to keep up with the storage, though. :(

That's a valid feeling - I guess I need to go through the 2-3 printed books I have and see how I feel about them.

LOL! I've always admired photo books but was really hooked on having all of my albums being the same. I'm thinking that was totally silly now. ;)

I'm in the middle of reorganizing my bookshelves and changing all the labels on my scrapbook albums. I hate not having bookplates so I'm adding them to all my albums and I need to change locations. See those scratches on... Continue reading

As the kids get older, it hits home more and more that our time with them is getting shorter. After taking off for Maine last summer with only two weeks' notice, we noticed that the kids really and truly appreciated... Continue reading

Andrew built a fort in our bedroom this weekend. It started out as a birthday fort for Emily because every 17-year-old wants a blanket fort, right? It was very sweet and she spent about an hour in it with him.... Continue reading

One of my goals for my Project Life album this year is to stay very flexible, as well as very simple. I'm not trying to invent the wheel or make it perfect. I'm trying to tell the stories of our... Continue reading

I still remember the minute the doctor put Emily into my arms. She was the most perfect thing that had ever happened to me. She was such a fun baby and child! She loved to learn, to experience new things,... Continue reading

Beth's had a very rough week and so I've spent a lot of time just sitting with her this week and waiting in the doctor's office. Perfect time to play with the Project Life app! My job on the Project... Continue reading

Last summer, a friend of mine mentioned that she was looking for a temporary home for her kids' hamster. They needed someone to keep her for four months. Emily begged to be allowed to "hamstersit" for Ginger, so why not?... Continue reading

I can't believe how much fun I'm having with Project Life again! Simple, simple, simple is the way to go. :) And I've discovered that watching The Gilmore Girls on Netflix while I scrap makes the time go even faster.... Continue reading

Hi Lin! Libby does prefer Beth but she is totally fine with us using Libby at home. :) You only need to know these terms if you're making digital pages. Basically, a .psd file is a Photoshop Document and is a layered image that allows you to "build" layouts. Flattening simply means getting rid of the layers so that it can be saved as a .jpg for printing. Most photos that you print are .jpg files. Let me know if you're doing digital pages and I'll point you to some tutorials that will help all of this make more sense. :)

I've been making digital scrapbooking pages since 2007 and always have them printed at 12 x 12 and then insert them into page protectors. I've often thought of making them into books instead but I like the consistency of being... Continue reading

This photo is one of my new favorites! The story behind it is kind of long but worth telling. At Andrew's middle school, teachers give out cards with ten blank squares on them - similar to a bingo card. Teachers... Continue reading

I love Pinterest. I've been pinning since the beginning of the site and use it for bookmarks, instructions, recipes, and lots and lots of inspiration. I've completed house projects, made quilts, crocheted blankets, and made countless recipes from pins I've... Continue reading
