Interests: I'm a digital scrapbooker who still plays with paper sometimes, a photographer, a quilter, and I just learned to crochet. And I am not allowed to find anymore hobbies! I'm also married with three kids and I used to be an attorney before I entered the land of SAHMs. Currently, I'm stuck in the midwest and dream of returning to the coast of Maine one day

I think I'm going to start a new blog series about losing all motivation to scrapbook and then finding it again. Seriously. That's the story of my life for these past six weeks. I wait for days to scrapbook, have... Continue reading

Andrew became obsessed with cubing last fall after he earned a free Rubik's cube at school for demonstrating kindness in the classroom. Which was totally cool! But what's even more cool is how awesome he's become at solving cubes! His... Continue reading

The dreary days of February are still here. Sigh. They get me every single year. But we've just started noticing that the sky is still light out around 6pm and that's almost something to celebrate! I'm dreaming about spring and... Continue reading

I've been wanting to play with paper and get creative lately. A couple of weeks ago, I asked for advice with Themed Albums and got so many great ideas! For the most part, the suggestions were to stick with a... Continue reading

It's a snow day today and what better to do than scrapbook! I used Becky Higgins' new Golden Themed Cards for this layout about Emily's 17th birthday. I didn't think the golden cards would suit me when I first saw... Continue reading

Scrapbooking the hard or emotional parts of life isn't easy. I know some people simply choose not to include those events in their scrapbooks or, if they do, they decide to include just vague references. But I can't do that.... Continue reading

Hi Debbie! Your name sounds really familiar!! Do I know you from Designer Digitals, maybe? I adore everything Tracy Larsen does!!! I made my own templates similar to hers for my 2013 book and wanted less of a white border than I had made. Sounds like you. :) I've always used Persnickety and will continue to use them for everything I make, except photo books. They don't yet have archival-quality books so I'm going to use AdoramaPix for books. And yes, I will absolutely document it here on the blog!!

Hi Esther! We all assumed that Becky would go with Persnickety but they ended up with WHCC. WHCC is White House Custom Color - https://www.whcc.com. They are a very highly-respected professional printing company. Many, many wedding and other pro photogs use WHCC for their print products. It's an absolutely superb company!

Thanks, Andi! 8x8 for special albums sounds like a great idea! I love my 6x8 albums that I've done with some of Ali's classes and week in the life layouts.
