I bought a little triangle picture frame hanging thing thing that I nailed to the back of the board. It just hangs on a nail now. Check your local hardware store in the hanging aisle.
i want to remember : mornings.
The past few days, I have made a point to take photos from the time when I wake up until when I sit at my computer to start working. This is usually about a 45 minute time period. I wake up without an alarm, usually between 6:10 and 7:15. I am loving the early rise because it means I am tire...
hey Jessica,
Thanks for your question.
I hate to just refer you to the class listing, but there is a lot of information there on the actual deliverables that the course offers. (http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/phone-photography.php)
This is a big class with many instructors all in one place so you're paying for different insight, challenges and app reviews from a large variety of folks without needing to search for it. I think some people like to take classes for inspiration as well as motivation to actually take photos or get projects completed. Having the class format and a sense of accountability helps them do this.
That said, e-courses are not for everyone and if you haven't loved them before or already have many ideas and free resources (and yes! there are a lot out there!) then this might not be a great fit for you. :)
Hope that helps a bit to clarify. I recommend getting in touch with Big Picture for further explanation and customer service.

I'll be sharing that Project Life spread in detail Sunday, but the cute HOORAY stamp is by Whitney Rae Paper. This week was another round of "make a million lists and cross off a few things." Haircut done, maternity photos taken, blog posts prepped, diapers pre-washed, orde...
We are going to give ourselves some time to adjust to actually having a baby and then cloth diaper as close to exclusively as we can. I do plan on writing about it down the line, but I feel like I need to have at least a few months of actually having a baby in diapers under my belt before I offer any insight! Basically though, the inspiration is how easy the whole process appears to be and the major cost savings/reduced environmental impact.

Really excellent point. Usually it's just the old ladies at the cut counter at Joann's or women in my bar method class, but I will be very careful. Thank you!!
@ 36 weeks.
I'm at that point. That point where complete strangers are interested in the baby and want to know when I'm due. And if it's a boy or girl. And if she's my first. I don't mind the questions at all. I spent the last 10 (15? 20?) years being totally curious about pregnant women and little babie...

I am seriously having a love affair with a piece of furniture. The backstory here is decorating a house is hard. And I've got my mind spinning a bit trying to get everything "right" in this new place. It's a tricky thing - the house was built in 1961 and it totally has a mid-century vibe. ...
beautiful birth stories! thanks for sharing. :)
there it is again.
I've talked before about how my "one little words" for the past two years have stuck with me past the calendar end. "Brave," my 2013 word, will no doubt be the same. "Magic" & "Choose" have become almost mantras and feel like old friends. While they usually exist in the background, sometimes ...
Thank you! I am, yes, tonight actually.

I spent the beginning of the week in funk. Like a normal funk, it was totally exhausting and frustrating. Unlike a normal funk, I knew exactly what the issue was. I miss Paul. And that is an understatement. I physically hurt for Paul. Before deployments entered our lives, I am not sure I full...
It's just a soft shell one from j.crew. I bought it two Christmases ago.

I read blogs exclusively through flipboard on my iPad. right now it's connected to google reader, but I heard that flipboard is "saving" the feeds so when reader goes it will still work. That's the plan for now.

for light things, like canvases and most frames, I just pound a nail in. Shelves and heavy items, I find studs. :)

I was seven when my family moved from Minnesota to California. Our new house was a single story and the ceilings were high which meant there were very big walls. To fill them, my dad decided we'd need some "Big Art." His solution was to create thin wooden rectangle frames and staple gun fabric a...
Thank you.
I don't have a good general one. If you are looking to get into quilting, I always recommend Denise Schymdt Quilts. It's my fave.

We do get earthquakes. Our big furniture is anchored to the wall because of this. There is nothing hanging over the baby's crib and it's pulled away from the wall so the art can't fall in.
This installation weighs about a pound and is over Paul and I so I am not too concerned. ;)
just for fun project : a mobile of sorts.
I saw this tutorial on Oh Happy Day last week and LOVED it. So simple! So cheap! The projects I see that inspire me drop everything and make right away are always the best ones. Same goes for home goods. The stuff I see that I just have to buy right away - no deliberation - is always the stuf...

Such a good point, and probably helping a lot. I also think I am just happier this year than I was last year and, of course, that makes a big difference too. ;)

It's week eighteen and I love this project. click the photos above to enlarge for a somewhat clearer image. Week of : April 29 - May 5. What happened this week? I was home and then flew to Scottsdale for the weekend to celebrate my girlfriend's wedding. Anything special in the sp...
