Superb post! I don't follow everyone back for many of the reasons you suggest in spite of being advised to do so. I've been told "it's a courtesy" to follow back. Now I will forward those who mis-advise your well-written, very logicsl, smart post! Thank you!
12 Most Compelling Reasons I Do Not Follow Everyone Back
A good blog post gets a conversation going or really gets you thinking about something, often in a different way than you might usually think of it. Such was the case with @tedcoine's post 12 Most Compelling Reasons I Follow Everyone Back which I just finished reading. I completely disagree wi...
Too bad, I'm going to be in New York, wish I could be there! I've been a Typepad blogger six years this August. Hope you do another one this summer.

As the author of How To Work a Room, celebrating its 21st birthday, I'd add another tip. Have your self-intro planned and Practiced. It's NOT an elevator speech. It's a 7-9 second pleasantry that gives the benefit of what you do. That is most helpful for job seeking and attending any event.

It's important to have mentors. One incredible woman who I have looked to for career advice is Susan RoAne, "The Mingling Maven." I consider her the queen of schmoozing. Her book, "How to Work a Room," just turned 21! Check out her blog. http://www.susanroane.blogs.com/
The new design is not horrible. But I have edited my profile 3 times... using correct capitalization and punctuation. Yet, it appears as an e e cummings lower case blurb.
I am not served well by this auto incorrection as I am an author who writes correctly.
Birth info must include year. Why?
I've filled in Gender female 3 times...it defaults.
Please make these corrections.
I've been a typepad member since August 2004.

Well, Auto save didn't. I just lost an entire post... again.
This is more than frustrating.

AutoSave to the rescue
We know how frustrating it is to lose a post before you've have a chance to save it -- whether to a browser window closed accidentally, a power outage that shuts down your PC, or a spilled cup of tea that shorts out your laptop. So, we're very happy to announce that we're adding AutoSave -- one ...
GREAT! Having lost posts in the past, this AutoSave is a time saver. I sometimes use my posts in my books and being able to save my thoughts is crucial.
BTW, have found that the new "preview" is not as intuitive as the former vintage and can't seem to use it.
Admittedly I am not a techno whiz but have been a typepad blogger for over four years. The easier you can make it for me, the better blogging is.
THANKS!
