There's no shortage of sexism related to mermaids. In a lot of folk lore, mermaids are blamed for bad storms and doomed voyages. Or they're said to lure men out to sea to be drowned. In advertising, they're mostly ornamental. At least in these ads, the mermaids support the messaging. The last ad in the series is my least favorite.
