I hope you do! Knitting looks more complicated to me, as there are two needles, but I've never tried it so I don't know. I'm sure you'll pick up crochet in no time!

Hi Kym, welcome to my little corner of the internet ;). Thanks for the actual name, you never know when I go into the craft store if I'll get someone that knows or not, so the name helps. Ha! That's funny, (and also so not, I can imagine) about the bobbin thread...will heed your warning!
Hi Sarah (and Rachel), thank you!!! :) So cool that you're both doing it. I hope you get to do it together sometimes, I bet that's fun! Ok, will do!
Jenni, thanks for letting me know, I'm happy to hear it! Glad you're doing it too, it's so worth it, right? Love the way it adds up to something bigger eventually.

Thanks Paula, I'm so happy to hear that you have been inspired to join in! It's fun, isn't it? You've got a great attitude, and what a gift for your family! I don't know if I'll ever get all the photos I have from the last 20 years in albums...I'd like to think that one day I will do as you are...
Thank you Susie! I knew I could count on reader expertise! Can't wait to get some!

I've been working on finishing up March in my pocket page album (which I call Project Life because I think Becky Higgins really invented, or made popular, the simplified documenting-the-everyday-in-pocket-protectors concept, and because a large number of the supplies I... Continue reading

just so you know, and might be encouraged to give it a go...i do not enjoy measuring, and so did not do one bit of it with this quilt. well, at the end, I measured how big it was, that's all. I'm sure it's quite imperfect in every way, but close enough to pass non quilter inspection

it's on the list for sure, just after some other things...it's a big project to sum up too ;)

totally know what you mean, but don't be discouraged! when i was googling it, i found a site that said that the Amish stitch something like 7 stitches an inch perfectly which made me laugh at mine. but truly, i love it just the same, or maybe because it's so imperfect. there's no doubt mine was hand stitched ;)
