renversant!
Fog about to enter the bay
Why the hell do you need to bcc yourself?
use 'y' (archive) or 'm' (mute) to remove stuff from your inbox. On the iphone, delete, really means archive (unless you've stupidly changed some default settings).
getting used to google apps
At SAY Media we've decided to start using Google Apps. I'm super excited about this -- I've been advocating for it for a long time. I switched over today, and holy wow, I was not used to this. My workflow involves two major things: making copies of messages, and automatically BCC'ing myself. Nei...
SpokeGrenade (bike light) review. I may have avoided a Presidio crash...
Last Tuesday at 6am I was speeding through San Francisco Presidio park a little ahead of the ~15 other cyclists part of the Mission Cycling Headlands Raid that morning. The public lights were out, the fog was thick and I had only my minuscule blinking LED with me. I believe I was thinking: "W...

Led Zep never gets old
Hymn For Her
This video is wonderful, I had never heard of Hymn For Her but this video (a Led Zeppelin cover, needless to say) got me hooked on them and their albums even moreso. Can’t wait until they play the Bay Area, must see them live! Yet another married couple duo to like. Via No Depression

Doc always has been a useless piece of crap for power users. Now it's useless to everybody.
in 10.3 or 10.4 I used to have a "top" doc (using defaults to set it) which I kind of liked. The only way to make the doc appear/disappear was press option-command-d
Maybe this trick is still available?
osx gripes
Okay and now the gripes: * Safari in OS X changed the tab-opening behavior to be more like iOS, opening new tabs next to the current one. Not what I want. * Full-screen Mail.app doesn't show total number of messages in a mailbox, just the number of unread. * Can't reorder screens. Need to close ...

twitter TODO... hint hint @jack
I love twitter, and like most tools that don't leave me indifferent I have little beefs against it. Conversations on twitter are still broken. Seriously, what good it is to have replies as first class stream objects? The main twitter... Continue reading

You really need to defrost your fridge, there is as much snow in there that there in the streets of San Francisco tonight!

Gerrit available on Assembla
We use Gerrit at SAY media to help us with the code review process. It has been working quite well for us. Lately, we configured the plugins so that hudson (well, soon replaced by Jenkins) also gives his 2 cents... Continue reading

something is puzzling me... how do you get the body of the posts to render? your template only output its title and permalink. Magic! (it's be a bit faster to compile entry-tmpl once btw)
Making TypePad Infinite Scroll Page
It looks like pagination is a new [marquee tag](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquee_element). Now all hip websites like [Twitter](https://twitter.com), [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/) got a fancy infinite scrolling. Scroll down more, you'll get more tweets, status updates or contents. You should link to microsoft CDN rather than to github (official sponsor of jquery-tmpl), that would be nicer to github servers :)
