For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, the short (long) story is an Instagram follower alerted to me to an organization that was copying one of my designs and having their own fabric printed and selling it on dresses. Continue reading

You don't have to be an artist or a designer to want to have a defined style. You may not be defining a brand, but style is part of who we are as people, and one way we relate to the rest of the world. Continue reading

Ok got that out. Now the rest of this I've re-written this 10 times. I was simply going to do the standard, "hey look where I've been featured post", but I can't. I feel like I need to tell you a little more. Continue reading

When I texted a photo of this painting to my sister, she said, "It reminds me of that painting that hung in your room when you were a kid.". I had to agree, but I didn't know why. Continue reading

Hi Mary! Yes, I do have to make multiple corrections sometimes. Every once in the while the mill just has a hard time with a particular color. Choosing colors from a tiny Pantone swatch can be tricky, and once the color is blown up it can look much different. I had a pink in Bijoux that was corrected several times because of that. And, yes, we always seem to get our fabrics with very little time left. Plus I always try to squeeze in "just one more project". The work is never done because I can always do more. LOL.

Hi Laura. Yes. It is. In fact I sent a new file to the fabric company today with their approval to resend to the mill. We both felt that there was just too much of one color and so we reversed the positions of a couple colors and it looked much better… even on the screen. The cloth is not comparable to the finished goods. I'm not sure what the difference is but it definitely feels thicker and rougher than the quality of Art Gallery Fabrics finished. I'm so glad you like the collection. ~Bari
