A few years ago I wrote a tutorial to make bunnies from baby socks: At the time, I mentioned that you could add stitching to give them faces if you wanted to, like this: Today I'm finally going to show... Continue reading

I know - you're wondering, "What the...?" Well, yesterday I combined two Splitcoast challenges - a sketch challenge and a color challenge - and that's what I ended up with. The colors for the challenge were OLD Olive, BERMUDA Bay,... Continue reading

Yeah, that's what "spring" has been so far... For real, though, I have seen a few robins :) This morning's CAS challenge on Splitcoast is a color challenge, and we had the suggestion/option to make a bird-themed card. We were... Continue reading

It snowed. Last night. Again. *sigh* Since it insists on acting like December instead of nearly-April, I will play along. I'm also playing along with the current Jingle Belles challenge to make a card with an old-fashioned feel: No stamping... Continue reading

Tired of listening to me whine about winter? I'm tired of whining, too... Here's another dose of Spring - maybe even Summer: The "ways to use it" challenge on Splitcoast this morning is to make a TALL card or, if... Continue reading

The blustery cold continues outside my windows, but the spring card marathon continues inside. Today's output: This one was for a sketch challenge. I squared up the sketch and did a mirror-image of it. A little faux stitching around the... Continue reading

Today was blustery and C-O-L-D, with little to no sunshine, but at least there was no white stuff falling out of the sky and adding to our enormous piles, thankfully... I colored a couple more of the images I stamped... Continue reading

I'm totally, completely, absolutely, and in all other ways OVER this never-ending story called Winter! It's still frigid temperature-wise, and the landscape is still completely colorless, and everyone is miserable and cranky and w....a.....i....t....i....n....g.... I decided that I'd fooled around... ...or something like that! We got dumped on yesterday (after enjoying near-50 degree temperatures the day before), and are experiencing wind chills nearly 20 below zero today - lucky us! Here's what our front yard looks like AFTER Greg shoveled... Continue reading

I'm still playing along with the Lovefest challenges on Splitcoast, and managed to squeeze in one of the daily challenges, as well! Friday's challenges are "Free For All", and this past Friday's challenge was to "show a little sunshine". One... Continue reading

Beginning on Valentine's Day and continuing through until the 25th, Splitcoast Stampers' Member Companies (stamp-related companies that pay a fee or something to join SCS and have their own forums and announcements and ads and such - or something along... Continue reading

In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you up front that this was not the idea that I mentioned in my post about making your own "stampin' spots". I planned to make a little "ink dresser", with drawers... Continue reading

I'm relatively technologically challenged - codes make me twitchy, and reading about anything technical quickly becomes "blah blah blah" in my head. Maybe it's because I'm very visual - if I don't have a frame of reference that allows me... Continue reading

Hi, all! Back with my latest Odd Brain project. I've been debating which inks I prefer and which colors I prefer and decided that - as with most things in my life - I CAN'T CHOOSE! The answer to this... Continue reading

So - Sherry and I made a pact before the start of the new year that we WOULD get together every month on or about the 25th with the specific purpose of creating things for Christmas. We often have good... Continue reading

Good morning, all! I still consider myself pretty high up the heirarchy of CHEAP royalty. Case in point: some of the ways I add decor to my home. Today's post features ways to decorate walls for next to nothing. First... Continue reading

I made myself a promise to actually use some of the crafty things I've acquired, rather than just continue to add to the collection(s). I also really missed doing the Jingle Belles challenges last year. With both of those thoughts... Continue reading

This past spring and summer Greg and I tackled the long-awaited kitchen remodel. Above is the view looking from the back door into the kitchen, and you can just see past the pantry to the staircase and front door (yes,... Continue reading

Notice anything new about the blog? Yeah - it's pretty nekkid! Here's what I've done: Weeded out the "fluff" of previous posts - things that didn't matter to me any more, things that were not representative of anything past or... Continue reading

I had NO idea that it had been nearly a full year since my last blog post, but there it is... Rather than go into a long discussion of what/where/when/why, let me just say this: I've cleaned house and eliminated... Continue reading

Ooh, Steph! Can you add me to your Christmas card list, please? I totally ADORE this card! What a fun idea to collect game pieces (thanks for giving me one more reason to hoard...) - I'll have to keep an eye out! The idea to die-cut the Candy Land card was BRILLIANT!
