So a Stanford Law Professor felt the need to go out of his way to prove me right in my belief that a higher education doesn't always indicate higher intelligence. And since I have a day off and am feeling a little bored, I figured I could have fun with... Continue reading

I figured this would be as good a time as any to dust off the blog and post a more detailed account of my job hunt. I have been out of work since July due to the wonders of budget adjustments. I was luckier than most people in that my... Continue reading

No death threats, no firebombings. Just a peaceful request to not do business with someone. Best way to handle it.

You will tolerate them at all costs and upon demand, you will celebrate their beautiful lifestyle. Anything less, and a black mark goes on your record. Glad I got out when I did.

This was definitely one of the toughest matches that TAH has had since this whole tournament started a few years back. But at least the losers get some fame, even for a short time.

From what he told us, she was quite the enthusiastic student after she came back from the Doc's. She even broke another Lieutenant's nose during the next practice session.

One of my favorite "Theory meets practice" was from my fighting instructor at MCT. He was demonstrating a technique called "Grab, Twist, Pull." Feel free to mull on that phrase if you're not sure what part of the body this is being done to. It turned out that a while back, he was an instructor at Quantico and was teaching some larval Officers this attack. A female Officer said that as a woman, that wouldn't work on her. He tried to explain that it would but she stubbornly stuck to her statement. He demonstrated on her. Briefly. After she was taken to the Corpsman, his First Sergeant did nothing after it was established that she had challenged him openly and had learned a valuable lesson.

And somewhere out there, a lot of Army Privates are sighing in relief that they can claim stupidity and get away with it.

I would have preferred him being found guilty on everything but he'll be in prison long enough for the left to forget about him in a few months.

In an ideal world, judges would be inviting the people who file lawsuits like this over for tea and beatings.

Ted Cruz is a LINO "latino in name only" good luck w/ prez aspirations w/ that stand on undoc immig and benefits—Aswini Anburajan, Buzzfeed. Two things about that woman's statement strike me as hilarious: 1. A woman of Indian heritage is probably not the best judge of what is or... Continue reading

NJSoldier and Doug: The cartoons in question were from a few years back when Starbucks was in the news for this issue. Basically, one of the main characters belittled and insulted people for carrying openly. When he was criticized for the strip, his response was along the lines of "I don't hate gun owners! Why, I have friends who own guns!"
