Hi Sherrill - Thanks for your comment - I dont think Ive ever thought about what it must have been like on 9/11 for all of the air traffic controllers! That would have been a very hectic day for them and I imagine a very long one. Surreal and sad for sure! xo, Nan To: nans17@hotmail.com

Hi Cheryl! If you put a very thin layer of frosting on the cake, and let it set in the refrigerator, until the thin layer of frosting is cold and hardened a bit, it becomes a crumb coat - a protective layer that keeps crumbs from getting loose so when you put on the final frosting layer, there wont be any crumbs in it! This is such a yummy cake and much easier to make than it might sound, I hope you give I a try! Nan Sent from my iPad
