I have been enjoying the ICAD challenges and here are my first week cards. Tammy Garcia runs the challenge from her blog Daisy Yellow. This is my first year participating. It is quite freeing, to only create a small piece of art daily. She provides themes (techniques) as well as daily prompts. I follow the prompts if I feel that I can connect with them. Enjoy! My logos365 is peace. Philippians 4:7 is one of my memory verses for peace. "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." I love how this turned out so I am going to try to bible journal all of my verses for peace and use a small logos365 tab to identify them! How cool will that be to have all of my yearly bible... Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Cor 5:17 Such a powerful devotion last week from Angela Parker. When we share our testimony, we impact countless others. Take Me Deeper this year focuses on a foundational biblical truth for a month at a time. That helps me really absorb the message from God about myself and who I am in... Continue reading

Week 18 Rewind Abiding in Christ to be attached to the Vine Aprils 2016 devotions have been built around the statement “I am in Christ.” Since there are 5 weeks in April, this week’s devotion is a rewind of the I am Statement. To be in Christ we must abide in Christ. What does that look like? If you haven’t read Andrew Murray’s 30 days of “The True Vine: Meditations for a Month on John... Continue reading

I read a inspiring book over the weekend. "The Prodigal God" by Timothy Keller. "in The Prodigal God, Keller takes his trademark intellectual approach to understanding Christianity and uses the parable of the Prodigal Son to reveal an unexpected message of hope and salvation. Within that parable, Jesus reveals God's prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic. This book will challenge both the devout and skeptics to see Christianity in a whole new... I am making large tags for each of the I am statements from Take Me Deeper Devotions in 2016. This week I used my alcohol ink technique with deli wrap. I love this technique, so organic and relaxing to make the backgrounds and then see the patterns and designs in them to use to express God's word. The reds and golds make gorgeous papers! Last week I made a lot of sets of deli pages,... Continue reading

I have been using a Lent Calendar designed by Pat Maier for the past 40 days. She made the calendar based on this site that published 40 Things to Give up for Lent by Phil Ressler. It has been an interesting Lent Journey. I have never practiced Lent, so this was a first for me. Keeping a colorful daily chart helped me stay focused on the purpose of Lent, to prepare and understand what Jesus... Continue reading
