no. the joovy doesn't work for napping (except when your little one is still in the carrier). my kids have never been the nap on the go kind of kids, though.
as i mentioned in my last post, i decided to go back to work. just like my original decision back in december to become a SAHM, it wasn't an easy one to make. however, it was far less agonizing this time. now that i've experienced the grass in both fields,... Continue reading

martha stewart's website has a really good tutorial for the tissue pom poms. but i actually ended up buying mine because i only needed a couple and they were so inexpensive. a 3-pack was only $6.99 at party city. here is the link to them online:
mags started preschool. and i went back to working full-time. i promise more on that later. but just wanted everyone to know why i haven't been able to find the time to blog lately. everyone is happy, healthy and adjusting well to the new routine. although the "routine" is about... Continue reading

Thanks! It seems Jenny is a great publicist for my blog :) I love cloth diapering! I will email you separately with answers to your questions.
maggie loves to help me in the kitchen. however, if you've ever tried cooking with a toddler, you know that it usually takes at least twice as long with three times the mess afterwards. it's definitely an exercise in patience, but she enjoys it so much that i try to... Continue reading

in a larger cities with big korean populations, doljanchi (1st birthday party) rival an average wedding in scale and expense. people typically rent out banquet halls or restaurants and hire caterers, photographers, party planners, entertainment, etc for the celebration. but fortunately (for me), they are much less extravagant here where... the last time i made one of these origami boats was probably 25 years ago. i didn't think i'd remember the series of folds even though they're very simple, but i had no trouble at all. my hands went into autopilot and i whipped out several for maggie in just... Continue reading

and three and a half to go! the tiger represents the year that gabriel was born (2010). it is by far the most complicated dol go im that i will make. i am so glad it's done. it alone took about 8 hours (and one severe hot glue gun burn)... Continue reading

it's july 7th and we've been harvesting 4 to 6 sugar snap peas every couple days for the past week. that's 4 to 6 pods TOTAL. not 4 to 6 pounds. or dozens. or even handfuls. and they've been going straight from the vine to maggie's mouth. girl eats them... Continue reading

soooo... do you think it's totally lame to be enamored of a small kitchen appliance? say, a cuisinart food processor? YES? oh. i was hypothetically speaking, of course. i really haven't been fantasizing about getting one ever since i read this new york times article last year. it's been in... Continue reading
