I've been here for years, and I'm happy you are making the leap forward to go back. Good work. I also freelance for some Wordpress experts in San diego. Www.binarym.com. I know they create many Wordpress extensions and design wordpress sites.Ask for Matt McInvale or Chris Daley, if you have the need. Not me. I just write copy. :)
Treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home.
In 2001, blogs were very new things. In fact, as much more time was spent arguing talking about what blogs even were, and where they fit into the media landscape than was spent actually, you know, writing in them. In fact, I don't even think the word "blogging" existed back then, and whenever it...
Because you can take that to the bank.
I have certain skill set I am good at and maintain employment using those skills. It's really not all that different. You find your niche. Maybe some celebrities become trapped in that niche, but so do everyday normal people. I couldn't get a job as a pharmacist with experience as a lawyer. You know?
Answering a FAQ: "Why do you play so many evil characters lately?"
Every actor has a particular type they can play well, for some reason or another. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with who we are in real life, but it's just what we do well. Example: Travolta is amazing as the Lovable Loser. When he's in Welcome Back Kotter and Saturday Night Fever i...

Summer memories never fade away
It’s been so hot the last couple of days, I haven’t gone outside for more than a few minutes until the sun’s gone down, and even then walking down the middle of the street still feels like a furnace. Trading the blazing heat of a parking lot for the cool, dry air conditioning of a store is bliss...
My grandmother died today. In an unknown number of hours I will be in the middle of nowhere Tennessee surrounded by family- some I love, some I wish didn't posess the ability to vote. Or breed.
She wasn't a particularly kind woman. I don't mourn for her yet. I do mourn for my version of your childhood memories. Playing in the creek, the smell of my grandmothers house. The comfort of family, waiting up until you arrived after your long drive from Michigan. The sheer beauty of the area and the strong nostalgia I have for those childhood visits. I'm sad that I may never return. I'm sad I won't get to share this place with my daughter. It's another world I loved, in a way... That won't exist anymore.

Thanks so much! Anne is so wonderful. I'm a little bit furiously happy. And bashful/proud. You know the parent feeling. I saved Anne the bandwidth of the two minute video and sent the one minute video. http://www.telly.com/UR1SL?fromtwitvid=1
Fun fact: it was the first time I'd seen her do this, and was the week she learned to walk. One of my favorites, because of reasons. This face is turning two in just a few weeks. http://lockerz.com/s/226506747
in which I am an indirect contributor to Highlights for Children
In february, I wrote about the time that Anne and I discussed Highlights for Children at great length: "You know what I always hated about Highlights?" Anne said, "some idiot kid had always circled the hidden pictures." "Seriously!" I said, "fuck that kid, man. That kid's a dick." "And what kin...
Ha! It's the perfect combination of hilarious and awesome.

Heck, Im like everyone else, I don't love Facebook. However google is doing something wrong, I love my gmail but I eventually deleted G+.
Google is doing it wrong. Again.
I'm putting this update at the top of this post as well as at the bottom, so nobody misses it: Updated: It appears that Google engineers are actively working on a way to fix this thing, and that it may not have been intentional. I sincerely hope that that's the case, and will just point out that...
My entorouge as wwebsite as on the internet.
ODD FRONT ROW SEATS FOR EVERYONE!
I don't know much about space travel, but helicopters are loud!
I enjoyed the video. You took time and effort to make this as an apology for missing a con. Who does that? You give more shits about your fans than anyone else I can find on the interwebs. I don't know where you put it all. I hope someday I'm lucky enough to BE at an event you are attending. If I got just a head nod while you walked through the crowd i would squee to everyone's embarrassment. And I would high-five Anne if she would let me. We played some tough rounds at WWF.
BTW, you guys make cards against humanity seem a ton of fun - bought it for the husband for father's day and we are pretty excited to crack it open... soon!

Video Q&A Post for Denver Comicon
I was not happy that I had to cancel my appearance at the Denver Comicon this weekend, mostly because I knew that there were a significant number of people who bought tickets specifically because I was going to be there. Aaron Douglas did a magnificent job (because he is awesome) replacing me, a...
Luckily I did have a great English teacher and I went on to get a Journalism degree - I liked being able to write well. I struggled with some of the books in school, but read them over and over in my 20s. Some I loved, some not - but 1984, Brave New World, anything by Kurt Vonnegut... Ray Bradbury... some great stuff. Some great comments here too.
Famous Novelists on Symbolism in Their Work and Whether It Was Intentional
I read this great post on John Green's Tumblr, titled Famous Novelists on Symbolism in Their Work and Whether It Was Intentional: "Reading is not a game of Clue; books are not a mystery that you have to solve by putting all the pieces together. That’s not the point. Find the meaning you want to...
I don't think so. It probably has a web cam or something and speakers so it can spy on me. No way am I letting that thing in my house. So it can terrorize the cat? Watch me while I sleep? Steal food from the cupboards? Who left that dice on the floor?
Nice try, Wheaton. (Fry squint)
This is a real thing that you can own
About a year ago, I dared my friend Joel to imagine what it would be like if he designed a little plushie Wil Wheaton, and this happened: After we stopped laughing about it, and enjoying how oh-so-clever we were, we started thinking about actually making it a real thing that someone could own,...
I live just outside of Detroit, which you may have heard of... this place they call Hockeytown? You can borrow the cup for awhile. Bask in the glory. The Red Wings can share. ; )
They deserve it. Go kings!
Kings win the Stanley. Freaking. Cup.
I was 12 or 13, the first time I went to a hockey game. It was the old purple and gold Kings, at the Forum, against (I think) the Flyers. It would have been around 1983 or 1984, and a though I can't recall much about the game, a few things are clear in my memory: The Forum was not even half ful...
THIS.
This is really obnoxious, TypePad
Oh, hey, look! It's time for another ranty rant about the Internet. I swear to FSM, I've become Grandpa Simpson. When TypePad was bought by an advertising company, we all knew the clock was ticking, and it would eventually be time to start looking for an alternative. To be honest, I'm surprised ...
I get it.
Your kitchen is awesome.
Now you're just showing off.
GO KINGS GO!!
This is me when the Kings went up 3-0 tonight against the Devils: I sort of hover with excitement when the Kings score. I can't believe they scored TWICE on the power play tonight. I can't believe they won 4-0. I can't believe they are up 3-0 in the STANLEY CUP FREAKING FINAL. I can believ...
Have fun at origins! Even though it is in Ohio... Ha. (Michigan always "looks down" on Ohio.)
I will be working or with Claire and will have no chance to make the 3 hour drive. Sadface.
I'll be waving to you the whole time though, so wave back!
Memories of the Phoenix Comicon 2012
In about 22 hours, I leave for Origins Game Fair in Ohio. I've wanted to go to this convention since I was in high school, and I'm really excited to finally be attending. Felicia and I are doing a bunch of TableTop stuff, and the organizers have even set aside time in our busy schedules for some...
Well, damn. I have Thursday off and Origins is only a 3 hour drive. Dilemma...
It's hard to tell from their website what events are going on over the 4 days, or what the schedule is. Not sure it's for me. But I'd love to bring a dice and say hi.
Hm.
Oh, and I forgot, my D3 witch doctor is named zod. KNEEL BEFORE HER!
something stirs and something tries and starts to climb toward the light
I worked on [REDACTED] today, and had more fun than I thought possible. I can't say anything more until July. Tomorrow, I work on [REDACTED], which is different from [REDACTED], but should be really awesome, too. I can't believe I get to spend two days working with [ACTORS]. (It was a lot easier...
Yeah, I got into Diablo 2 and am definitely playing Diablo 3 - teamspeak is pretty great - lets us all connect on one game easily.
My witch doctor just finished level one with my team the other night too. I like summoning things from the dead to do my dirty deeds! Go get em zombie dogs! Husband is playing the monk and keeps ringing that crazy bell. Good times.
in which diablo 3 is played with my son
Today, I'll wrap production on the latest series of audio books I've been doing. It's been ten long days, and though I genuinely adore the people I'm working with, I'll be happy when I get to the last word on the last page, because... I'm going to start work on a different and awesome project on...
Aw, so sweet! I said the other day that teenagers shouldn't have access to Facebook so the dumb things they say/do aren't plastered on a public forum. I'm sorry the decision you made at 19 was bigger than some of the decisions we had to make as kids, and that it haunted you for so long. You are a good person, wil.
After twenty years, I finally got to say this.
A lot of incredible and wonderful things happened at the Calgary Expo this weekend, and when I'm not as exhausted I'll write about all of them. Until then, though, here is one of them that I really hope you'll spend 5 minutes watching: If you can't see the video, you can watch it right here a...
Oh my I'm glad it was good! Youve been gone so long, So much happened while you were away! My parents bought their first house, I found out I have cancer, then I found out its good-bad and I'll be fine, and I painted my bedroom and Claire started talking in three word sentences! Whew! Now you go! Amazeballs.
:)
My trip to Australia was amazeballs
I am home from Australia, and only mostly dead exhausted. Go me! I'm too tired for a proper post about the entire trip, but I'll offer a few memories and highlights: I did not meet a single unkind person the entire time I was in Australia. I realize that my sample size was quite small, but it wa...
So full of win. <3 #furiously happy
When I get stuck in Draw Something...
One of my mottos for gaming is, "never lose the joy of playing in pursuit of winning." So when I can't seem to figure out an answer in Draw Something, for example, I amuse myself.. The answer was Watergun. It took me awhile, but I eventually got there. HA! HA! FART GUN! IT IS A GUN THAT ...
Sheesh, I'm a little surprised at the emotions involved in a simple QR code.... scan it and enjoy, or don't and move along.
go on... scan it...
Let me sign up for the list to play you too. In your free time AMIRITE!?
Anyway, husband and I spent hours giggling with this game, and of course constantly drew penises or put the word penis in somewhere if possible.
Because we are twelve. OH, it's my turn! Gotta go!

Do you have everything all set? You know what you want to do on your free days? I'm a travel agent and I love my job so much I always want everyone to be prepared. I have some things I could send you if need be. I did a 14 hour flight to Japan from Chicago once, and it's not comfortable, but there are worse things in life.
I have never been to that side of the world, and I have heard amazing things. Enjoy it.
I forgot to mention that I'm coming to Australia
This Friday, I'm heading to Melbourne to present Video Games Unplugged with Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub. The show is going to be amazing: the MSO will play music from games like Bioshock 2, Heavy Rain, and Final Fantasy. As the music plays, they'll show the games on a huge screen. And did I ment...
Yes, a surprise sparks McGee bit would be enjoyable. I love the family stories, like the time you trolled Ryan with all the posters from making the bed. Tears, Wheaton. I just hope to someday be at one of these damn things. #midwest-nerd-world-problems.
ECCC Programming Question: What do you want to hear at the Awesome Hour?
I've been working on Big Bang Theory for the last week. We tape tonight, and tomorrow I immediately start work on an audiobook*. The upshot of this is that I won't have a lot of time to build a setlist for my Awesome Hour at Emerald City Comicon this weekend. So this is where you come in. I need...
Gorgeous. You really should hang it somewhere.
On the set of Stand By Me
This picture was originally posted on Tumblr by thefactory-: You know that montage when we’re walking back home, near the end of the movie, and we go by in silhouette during sunset? It’s what they used as inspiration for the poster. This picture was taken when we filmed that little bit. That...
Awesome! 33 is the best age ever. Yes, I'm 33, what is your point? My lil miss Claire got to wear a social distortion onesie and a pink dress with a skull head on it--she is a girl after all. Sadly, the onesie stage has come and gone. She will be two this summer. TWO.
Oh, and her nickname at the hospital before she was born was Axl. The real name was staying secret. Before that she was "lamp." #truestory
The Force Will Be With Him...
My nephew will be joining Team Humans sometime in July, so today we're having a baby shower for my little sister (who, at 33, isn't little, bit if you're a big brother or sister, you know what I mean.) My brother in law is awesome, even though he's Dallas Cowboys SuperFan Number One Top Guy Fore...
