Lizzy House does it again. Just when I think Natural History can't be topped The Lovely Hunt images are released and I think it's an equally awesome line...maybe a little more but I'm partial to unicorns. Here's a few of the prints below from the dist. site. If you're like... Continue reading

Welcome to my stop on Sew Mama Sew's Giveaway Day! I'm giving away a layer cake (10inch squares) of Jen Kingwell's first fabric line Gardenvale and a few patterns! So what do you need to do to enter? Just leave me a comment! Any comment would do but if you... Continue reading

I loved sewing crosswalk! I used an Alison Glass Mercury fabric and the bunny print from Rashida's Mochi line was PERFECT for it. The only thing I noticed I need is some starch. I'm not sure what this is so wrinkly? This is probably my second favorite block I've made... Continue reading

There is a lot of waste with paper piecing..at least with me. It's really put me off the Patchwork City book but I'm trying to push myself through.

Block 2! My favorite part about this quilt is getting to use all different types of fabric in each block. I get to dig in my scrap bins for my favorite prints and use various manufacturers in one quilt. I'll be honest I'm usually a precut quilter or buy a... Continue reading

Hey everyone just a quick note here to mention that the fabric shop is closing. It was a hard decision and it makes me really sad but since the beginning of this year I have stressed over it and realized I just don't have the time right now. My older... Continue reading

My quilt top arrived from Crinkle Love and I'm so pleased with the results. The quilt pattern I used was from Sweet Jane Quilts from THIS book. I am guessing it's also in this one as well as the first was a collective. For the quilting I picked apples to... Continue reading

Most of the Patchwork City Quilt-a-Long action has been happening on Instagram. I didn't realize there was a need to post it here until some people were lost and sent messages asking questions. I decided I'll be posting each block we've done here over the next few weeks. This is... Continue reading

Pleasseeee let it be meee! πŸ˜‚ I'll be honest I'm horrible at sticking to patterns and if I win I'll be splitting it with a dear friend I've "met" on Instagram. It will definitely turn into a quilt or pillows though. I love the pillows in the look book and the back stitch table runner. Thanks for the chance this collection has been on my wishlist.

So I've embarked on a new project..what else is new right? I couldn't help myself when some sample precuts of Jen Kingwell's Gardenvale arrived from Moda though. Here's some jelly roll shots because even though it's hard for me to bust open jelly rolls I get really excited during the... Continue reading

Our quilt a long will start next weekend! I've been gathering fabric and trying to get block pieces cut a week early so I can stay ahead. We figured two blocks each week for the first half of the book. The second half will just be one a week (those... Continue reading

It's so pretty Amy!! I would probably make something for my daughter with it if I won. She has a little kitchen so maybe something for that. 😊 I love your doll bed! I need to paint ours it's still plain. Thanks for the chance to win. Elea's fabric is amazing and I can't wait to make a quilt for me when it's released. Staci
Thanks for letting me try it out Karin! I can't wait to see what you come up with in the new year. :)

I finally caved in and got Patchwork City by Elizabeth Hartman. If you haven't got your hands on this book yet get.it.NOW! This book is very modern and different from other sampler books you'll see. Here are a few examples of the blocks. I had mine spiral bound by Fed... Continue reading
