It's a Monday - what better excuse for some champagne? Ok, ok: there's probably loads of better excuses but I'm not sure I need one! Waitrose recently got in touch with me to offer me some champagne to celebrate something marvelous. Not gonna lie: at the time, I really didn't have much to celebrate. But, happily, by the time it had arrived at my door I had an awesome new social media job - hooray! Waitrose gave away a complimentary bottle of champagne with every online order in January because January is a bit grim and they are a bit... Continue reading

Does fitness have to be fashionable? Despite being obsessed with clothes, I guess it hasn't really mattered a great deal to me in the past. But - and this probably sounds hella shallow! - putting on something that you actually love for the gym DOES help motivation. Like a lot of people, I made heading back to the gym one of my New Years Resolutions. After a tumultuous 2013, I'm really trying to make this my year and feeling happy and healthy is a HUGE part of that. I'm been getting lots of inpsiration from Tumblr and my new favourite... This year I was excited to be invited back to the Clothes Show Live with Echo Falls. I had loads of fun last year - check out the talk I gave here! - and it was nice to go and have more time to wander around this year. Echo Falls kindly gave me some cash to buy a new outfit and I bought the River Island top I'd been lusting over. Love it so much! First things first: I had a delicious glass of rosé in the Echo Falls bar and settled down to watch Poppy Dinsey of WIWT chat... Continue reading

In Prabal Gurung at the Metropolitan Opera Season. I absolutely DREAD being asked who my celebrity style icon is. You'd be surprised how often people ask me and, um - I don't know! What can I say? Bloggers tend to be my inspiration. Kristabel in printed trousers, Sarah in fitted frocks, Natasha in sports luxe, Jazmine in acres of tulle, Charlie in sleek minimalism. Olivia's beehive, Carrie's red lips, Reena's bob, Nicolette's... well, everything Nicolette wears, basically! But I'm just not really into celebs as style icons. Don't get me wrong; there's a handful that I love to look at... Continue reading

Last week me and my friend Kristabel took a last minute trip to Privet Drive! We went to see the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour and it was AMAZING. Like, seriously: so. good. Check us out posing on the Knight Bus! I took sooooo many photos. My favourite parts were definitely all the graphic designs pieces - the letters! the newspapers! all the little details! - and the HUUUUUGE 8 metre tall incredible handmade model of Hogwarts. It was truly magical. I want to share lots of images with you all with but first I wanted to show you... Continue reading

Happy Christmas Jumper Day! Antlers! // jumble sale Christmas jumper* // Boohoo Vintage jeans* // Brag Vintage Floral Dr Martens // Vintage Wooden deer brooch* // Tigerlilly Quinn *gifted items Today I'm wearing my Christmas jumper to help raise money for Save the Children. Westfield are taking part in the campaign with lots of great events and they're donating ten pounds for every blog post, too. Nice one! I've teamed my awesome Home Alone inspired jumper with an ace pair of mom jeans from Brag Vintage that I'm kind of in love with. I've got on my trusty vintage boots... Continue reading

Recently I headed down to Carnaby Street to go and hang out with the George at Asda crew and to have a sneak peek at all their Christmas goodies. I'm full in Christmas mode now but this was my first Christmassy event and, I have to admit - it felt good! The Christmas collection features lots of party dresses and I was pleasantly surprised at the selection. Lots of sequins, some sexy spaghetti straps and heaps of velvet and tulle, all at seriously bargin prices. There was even a rail of various sizes so you could try on your favourite!... Last weekend I headed over to ASOS HQ to take part in their amazing #SelfieSchool. I haven't mentioned it on here yet but I was totally pysched to get accepted to Access All ASOS, their awesome new club where the cool kids (err, and also me) get to do fun stuff. At this one there were loads of awesome babes, mini fish and chips AND copious wine. It was all the wins! This event was #SelfieSchool, where Olly Lang, awesome photographer and Instagram legend, was gonna teach us how to take our selfies to the next lev. First we were... Continue reading

Are you ready for Christmas? This time last year I was all finished shopping; this year I haven't even started! In my family we do £10 budget gifts - which I love as it totally takes the press off - so I usually get presents of books and my favourite moisturiser that's only stocked at Christmas. But there's always a few things on the wishlist, right? As there are 25 days until Christmas I thought I'd do a wishlist of the twenty five fashion and beauty bits I'm lusting after! Alice bra | £20 | Masquerade via My Curves and... Continue reading

A couple of weeks ago I headed down to Farringdon to doing a little filming with O2 Guru TV. Me and fashion blogging babes Poppy D and Lily Melrose got to do our ANTM/X Factor panel thing and judge a fashion face off. AWESOME. And you can get in on the action too with a super great competition so, yeeeah - keep reading! Gavin from O2 Guru took on gorgeous YouTube star Patricia Bright for a day to night styling challenge. See how they did here! Patricia used Bloglovin for a bit of inspiration and utilised the Zara app like... Continue reading

Last year, I went to the Clothes Show Live with Echo Falls to give a talk about blogging in their seriously cool little area. I did mine on the reasons why YOU should start a fashion blog and you can watch me do it below. Yeahhh! That's an unfortunate still, huh? Thanks, YouTube! This year, I'm excited to go back. I'm not giving a talk this year - sorry that you won't get to hear my dulcet tones, guys! - but I'm actually looking forward to spending a bit more time looking around. And I hope the Bourjois stall is... Continue reading

Skirt| Bon Prix It's time for this months edition of One Skirt, Five Ways! This time I've taken it easy on myself by styling up this super versatile faux leather panel skirt from Bon Prix. I'm into the mix of textures and the sexy pencil skirt styling and I'm very into the £25 price tag. Nice! Skirt | Bon Prix Clutch | Quiz Blouse | Co via Avenue 32 Court shoes | Karen Millen I'm starting off with sexy because that's just how I roll, yeeeeahh. I love this high glam blouse and teamed with the skirt, I think it's... Continue reading

The lovely Hanna Kristina took these photos of me earlier this summer and I'm not sure why I never posted them but, hey - better late than never, no? I LOVE this amazing Monki skirt of wonder. It was a total bargain in the buy one get one free sale and cost me about a tenner. That's a small price to pay for feeling like a sci-fi superhero! The skirt is more than enough of a statement by itself so I've teamed it with really simple pieces: my favourite black clutch bag, white wedges from H&M and an ancient rollneck... Continue reading

I've seen lots of delicious Hobbs stuff popping up on my Pinterest lately (make sure you follow me!) and I'm really liking their gorgeous Autumn/Winter collection. It's not a store I think to visit often but they've actually got some gorgeous day wear and lots of sweeeeet evening clutch bags - y'all know that clutch bags are my kryptonite! I thought it would be fun to make three little looks for myself. You could wear them too, of course, but I'm day-dreaming mostly about adding all of these pieces to my wardrobe pronto. Please? Navy blue wrap skirt | Topshop I put a shout-out on Twitter to see if anyone had a particular skirt they wanted me to style up for this One Skirt, Five Ways post. I had some good answers but, um, I ignored them all as I fell in love with this navy blue Topshop silky wrap skirt. It's in my all-time second favourite colour and goshdamit, I just love it so much. Get in my wardrobe! Skirt | Topshop Boots | New Look Backpack | Neil Barrett via Far Fetch Baseball jersey from Serene Order This one is a total... Continue reading

Recently Chi Chi London got in touch to see if I wanted a dress. I don't actually accept everything I'm offered through this little blog because, seriously, I think it's more honest to gratefully decline if something genuinely doesn't work for me. I'll be truthful: at first I thought Chi Chi wasn't my style. But then I saw this dress. Navy blue and gold, beautiful print, tulle underskirt, Peter Pan collar... what's not to like? Reader, I emailed them back saying "yes please, you guys." YES. This dress fits very nicely although it does come up small: I'm wearing a... Continue reading

I've seen Little Mistress popping up all over the place lately and being worn by some of my favourite bloggers. When they asked me to do a post, I knew I wanted to show how good the clothes actually look on people! Cream and black embellished lace panel detail skater dress worn by Kristiana Doesn't Kristiana look beautiful here? I love how she's teamed a simple ponytail with a super feminine dress. Yesterday I was totally hell bent on bobbing my hair and now I'm like PONYTAIL. What a babe! Black short sleeve chiffon lace open back top worn by... Continue reading

At the moment, I'm all about coats and shoes but I'm slowly adding more stuff to my wishlist. I'll get it all up - eventually! - on my Autumn/Winter Wishlist Pinterest board so make sure you're following me. Look Again have got me adding some more, uh, "essentials" to my list. They do some great brands, including French Connection, Oasis and Darling - I love these floral print cigarette trousers! - as well as loads of my favourite underwear brands. These are the three things I'm pretty sure I need, now... Navy blue v-neck jumper Joe Brown worker boots Rose... Continue reading

Olsen | £99 Autumn is my favourite season. I love the weather cooling and the leaves changing, I love Halloween and Fireworks Night and, best of all, I love my Autumn wardrobe. I already talked about the best pink coats this week and now I want to talk about the other awesome thing Autumn brings: BOOTS. I love the sunshine but, DAMN, do I miss my ankle boots in the summer. I have more of them than any other type of shoe! Jones Bootmaker have asked me to pick my favourites from their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. They have a great... Continue reading

ASOS | Vintage style cocoon coat | £110 Guys: I LOVE a hype beast. I love that, even though there are literally a dozen key trends each season, there's often one thing that is THE THING. I love that collective feeling that this item is the one thing missing from all of our wardrobes and NOTHING ELSE WILL DO. It's silly but it's fun! For Spring/Summer 2013, it was definitely those Zara skorts - see my Pinterest board all about them here! - which I too own, although they're yet to make an appearance on the blog. Does the world... I love bright colours and I love prints and damn, I reckon these trousers are the hardest working piece in my wardrobe. I wear these New Look sale babies A LOT and I wish I'd bought two pairs - they were only a tenner, too. It's partly because I feel so damn sassy in them. All the sass! I also swear by New Look for shoes, too - most of my favourites are from there, including my current pair of black and white boots. If you're looking for nice shoes, give it a go! Speaking of shoes: these Very shoes... Continue reading

Faux fur collar coat //£95 I love coats, you guys. Like I REALLY love coats. So, sure, I'm totally bummed that the sun has gone in and that I got soaked on the way to the tube this morning but I truly am looking forward to Autumn. Oh, that beautiful season! Last year I bought four coats (well... it was four that I can remember off the top of my head, it miiiight have been more) and the two that weren't vintage were both Warehouse: a purple car coat and a black and white jacket with leather sleeves. Click those... Continue reading

Each year for the last few years, I've been trying to introduce a HUGE new statement into my personal style. In 2010, I started wearing trousers for the first time in six years and, seriously, that was a really big deal for me! In 2011, I went blonde for the first time after being (fake) red for most of my life. I loved it so much that I'm still rocking it two years later. Any ideas what I can do this year, guys? It's already September and I can't think of anything except to cut all my hair off! Last... Continue reading

Filofax recently got in touch to ask if I'd like to take part in their blogger's competition to style a Filofax to suit the decade of my choice. I'm trying really hard lately to be a little better organised and I couldn't resist this beautiful British racing green organiser! Chosing the decade was kind of a no brainer: the 1950's is my favourite. Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't want to live there - but I love the shapes and style a lot a lot. Unlike the 1920's or 1960's, I have the right figure for the Fifites! I... Continue reading

What's in your bag today? I'm a full on mess of a girl but I'm pretty good at keeping what I carry around stream-lined. That's probably only because I change bags most days, though! I don't usually carry around lots of stuff but I chose a busy day of meetings to show you guys exactly what's in my bag. I'm just as likely to have just a book, my oyster, a lipstick and my phone in a cute clutch instead. WHAT'S IN MY BAG Tote // New Look Notepad // Moleskine Letter from my mum (my hero!) Collected Stories //Amy... Continue reading
