I was watching in my office so worried that the horrible person that is my boss would walk out and I would have to minimize the window (like I just did while typing this comment ;) ). I was only 6 in 1986 but I remember how sad I was. I knew about the teacher on the shuttle and I understood the loss life. I always watch the NASA TV stream until they start the replays in case anything happens.
some of us are looking at the stars
On January 28, 1986, I was home from school with the flu. I remember that, no matter what I did, I couldn't get warm, so I was sitting in a hot bath when my mom knocked on the bathroom door. "There was an accident with the space shuttle," she said, in the same voice she used when she told me th...
HAHAHAHA thank you Wil, you have given me many laughs this morning. Now back to spacing out in an office alone in Burbank....more thunder please???
Wow, nice shirt . . . Moonpie.
I love that this line has been immortalized in T-shirt form , not only because it's one of the funniest in the episode, but when we were rehearsing the scene it comes from, I grew a level in comedy acting: During one of the run throughs, when Jim did his Klingon bit, I turned to Kevin and as...
I don't but they can't say anything about it because it isn't really offensive either :D

Done! I will be posting a link to this blog on Facebook as well. A few of my friends will see this on their own anyway :D. I wish I could do more but I know $25 is better than nothing. I am an animal lover and this is really great that you guys will be doing this in honor of Ferris. She was one lucky pup to have you guys.
to celebrate the memory of our awesome dog
This weekend, Anne and I are going to go up to the Rose Bowl and join a few thousand other animal lovers for the Pasadena Humane Society's annual wiggle waggle walk. Every year, it seems, we plan to do the walk, but every year something comes up and we end up missing it. This year, we're co...
YAY I wasn't the only one thinking that!!
Leverage - The Two Live Crew Job
Early feedback from tonight's episode of Leverage is overwhelmingly positive, which delights me. I'm so happy to hear that so many people liked it. If you've seen the show already, you may get a kick out of the pictures I took during production and just added to Flickr, but there are spoilers, s...
You are making the announcement here and/or on twitter too after you make it there right???

Oh man me too!!! I love the way they just blankly stared at him. People tend to do that to me (or the sad head shake) as well. I laughed so quickly and loudly I startled my cat.

...and the livin' is easy.
Hey, remember when I posted stuff in my blog every day and we all had a good time while learning? It's a distant memory, but if you squint, you may be able to pick it up. Anyway. It's summer, I've been working on awesome projects that I can't talk about, finishing up awesome projects that I've t...

What Happens if You Feed a Dog Chocolate While he Wears a Tin Foil Hat in the Microwave
I think it was about a year ago that I recorded this episode of Cavalcade of Comedy for Seth MacFarlane. I've been hoping to see it for months, but it wasn't until today that I read a post at CliqueClack TV about it, and BAM there it was.
Damn it! I was trying not to get into any other shows and now I kinda have to! I can't wait to see your episode.
LEVERAGE: day zero
Greetings from Portland! I'm here for the next few days to work on an episode of Leverage, playing a character who I have a few things in common with, as evidenced by something that happened earlier today during my costume fitting. The costume designer is an incredibly kind and easy going woman....
I second that feeling.

John Scalzi interviews a stick of butter
Because, really, why wouldn't you interview a stick of butter?
Oh how did I not think of that too!? It totally is Restaurant at the End of the Universe....guess it has been too long since I read the series...maybe that will be my next readings.

I was so sad when I heard them mention you on the news this morning. You came on while I was driving to work :(
i'm getting as sick of announcements as you are, so here's some more announcements
I'm not thrilled that my blog has recently been filled with announcements instead of original content, but that's sort of the way things are shaking out in my life right now. It's not bad, because I'm incredibly busy and working on awesome crazy ideas, but I feel like I'm kind of neglecting some...
Hmmm okie! I was only looking at the Saturday schedule and only saw you on the one. But there are several others I think I like. I might just go and hang out all day. Now to drag a friend with me so I am not walking around alone lol.

Hey look! It's me at the Emerald City Comicon, performing some stuff for the nice people. If the embed isn't working, this link may get you where you want to go. I thought it went well, especially considering that this was the first time any of these stories have been performed for an au...
Hmmm your panel is at 10:30am eh? I think that would be worth getting my ass out of bed that early on a Saturday. Some of the other panels that day look great as well!

I am so excited about this!! Some how I thought it was still a couple weeks away. YAY Family Guy + ST:TNG + My birthday weekend = MASSIVE WIN
Did I mention that the TNG episode of Family Guy airs this Sunday?
If you only have 3 minutes to spend watching an awesome video today, I hope you'll spend it watching the trailer for this Sunday's TNG reunion show on Family Guy. I didn't get to work with any of the TNG cast when I recorded my scenes, but I just love it that we all came back to do this show...
I know!!! I love that episode. Also, the diary from Sunken Treasure made me appreciate Criminal Minds more. I have loved the show since it started but to hear how awesome they are (they being both cast and crew) I can watch it with a new appreciation.
BTW Wil, you definitely got across the feeling that you were mad you were running and had to start over instead of being scared. You mentioned in the diary you didn't know if it would come across...it definitely did.
operation crazy idea presents: the criminal minds production diary - the audio version
I spent much of today recording and mixing an audio version of my Criminal Minds production diary. It's available as a DRM-free MP3 for just $5. The fundamental concept behind Operation Crazy Idea is to publish more things, more often, at lower price points. The simplicity and immediacy of POD t...
Okay that was totally worth continually refreshing when I saw you would be posting something good. Now off to get this I go!!!

I always wanted to play D&D and never had the chance. When I finally had a group to game with they wanted to do other things. Now that I don't have the energy to commit to a weekly thing I am SOL.....Oh well.
the big dog-men live very high in the caves
The fourth edition Dungeon Master's Guide is the DM's guide I've wanted to read since I was a kid. Unlike previous editions, which were filled with all kinds of stat blocks and very little information on actually running a game, the 4E DMG could also be called The Art of Dungeon Mastering, becau...
I heard about this from Doug Jones and I am so excited. I had not looked into it yet and didn't know that Zoe Bell was staring. I am really excited, I loved her in Death Proof (okayokay I totally had a female hard on for her esp when she got on the hood) I will definitely be following it. Thanks for the announcement/reminder.
new webseries from ed brubaker debuts today. you don't want to miss this
My friend Ed wrote an insanely cool original web series called Angel of Death that debuts today on Crackle. Angel of Death stars Zoe Bell (who you've seen double all kinds of people, but probably didn't know it. She also spent much of Death Proof riding around on the hood of a car being awesome)...
OOHH nice! Mine is 3 days before so...umm..belated birthday to me???
my first episode of family guy airs on march 29
I guess the air date for the Star Trek episode of Family Guy was announced today, so the long wait for everyone who has been excited to see this (that includes me) is nearly at an end. My Google Alerts thing has been sending me e-mails about it all day, including this one from THR.com: A member...
