I'll avoid the obvious, as you'll get to the main sites and Grand Place, of course. Brussels is one of my favorite cities: it's child-friendly, with great food art and fun. You'll definitely want to get to AutoWorld and the History Museum, both in the Cintquantinaire Parc. AutoWorld has hundreds of cars from every era, it's a great walk down memory lane, and much fun. Taste testing and comparing chocolate and cookies, both Belgian specialties. Our favorites: Pierre Marcolini in the Place Sablon, and Wittamer (same location plus others). Belgian cookies (gaufres and dozens of kinds of sugar cookies) can be found almost anywhere...many lovely shops surround the streets of the Grand Place. Our favorite restaurant: L'Ogenblik, in the Galerie Des Princes, right off the Grand Place. Small, simple, fabulous food.
