According to my "This Day in History" email, this is also NASA's birthday. Wonderful day to be born on and I'm only 39 myself. Just like Jack Benny.

That. Is. So. Cool. Eureka is one of the best SF stories out there. Laid back without falling over, with a black humor that I love.

By odd coincidence, our gaming group - with its novice DM - went thru the Keep recently. I think I was mostly disappointed that it didn't last longer. It was fun. *contemplates the murder of lizard men and sighs happily*

Word to the four things to do. Unfortunately, those don't help when your characters just sit and chat, instead of moving forward to advance a plot you could get moving if they, you know, stopped talking. Then I go write a different story.

*shoots fist in air* That was so good! Romeo and Juliet without the icky blood and death. Is this a series? Please say this is a series.

I am not an author... yet... but I agree with all of the above. It's not a threat at this time and the guild really is overreacting. And as another unpublished author I know notes, "The day that computers can read text aloud to rival humans is the day they start asking for a paycheck." Probably have to pay them in bandwidth or something.

It's my considered opinion that someone(1) with l33t cross-stitch skills should use one of those pattern creators on this photo and do it up for you. Recursion for fun and no profit. (1) Other than myself, as I am not a l33t cross-stitcher by any means.(2) (2) Not a l33t anything, for that matter. Moving on. Nothing to see here.

I like that contingency plan.

I've seen people make comments like that on-line elsewhere and, having been an avid reader of your blog, it never fails to annoy me when they assume that you are Wesley Crusher. You're a good actor. I squeed when I found out you were going to guest on Criminal Minds. I'm glad to see you stand up for yourself. It's too bad Newsarama didn't let you post the message there.
