Susan, I really like it a lot. It's more newsy looking. I like the clean white background. You've done a fantastic job with it.

susan, what you wrote there at the end was just beautiful and describes debbie to a T. and how true it is that we should cherish our relationships more than we sometimes do. thanks for posting this. xxox

this was a good one susan. i'm still laughing.no, the husband wasn't saying to his wife, dollface, let's sell this place and move somewhere else. he was saying honey, if we don't sell this place soon we're going to have to foreclose. do you see all this furniture. it's not paid for, and neither is that Mac! and tell that spoiled brat daughter of ours she is not going to get her own tropical painted room next place we live either!!! just kidding...... ;-) nothing better to do on a friday evening.

hi puppydogs - i say in the recipe that you can decorate these at the time you are going to serve them. so as not to mess them up, i would do that, just transport them undecorated. bring a little tupperware container of the preserves thinned with the juice and a little baggie of the finely chopped nuts, and bring a little brush. It will take but a minute to do each cookie and place them on a serving dish. let me know how they turn out!

hi kathleen, it's singingirl herself, beth. this is what i think about using an artificial sweetener.... they advertise on the bag that you can measure splenda cup for cup just like regular sugar, so if i were watching my sugar intake (and i ought to be) i would probably give it a try. since i've never substituted splenda in anything, i can't vouch for how the texture turns out, and the overall sweet taste, etc. (i happen to think splenda has a very sweet taste. in fact, if i open a packet for my coffee, i can use one packet for at least two cups of coffee.) anyway, good luck, and if you do try it that way i'd be interested to hear how they turn out for you. p.s. my personal preference is chilling the dough quite well and rolling good-sized balls and then slightly flattening them as you see in the picture. they come out looking uniformly delicious and very nice on a platter.

i've heard it said (about musicians) that the first time you think you're the best one out there you need to get back in the rehearsal room. there's always someone out there better, brighter, more talented, more ambitious, more daring, more hungry and eager, etc. it is supposed to inspire you to do greater things. and i know from experience that it is painful to hear someone waaay better than me, just as it is for you to see all the great works of art out there so much better than your own. hey, we can't all be picasso or barbra, can we! but it sure has been a fun ride.

think of the potential sales you are losing!!! of the people who heard about your booth from someone else, went there, and then found you no longer there, save for your footsteps in the dust or dirt or grass, walking in the other direction. maybe they spotted a silver hair just laying there and thought, OMG she's gone and i won't be able to buy that painting that i had my eye on. think of it!

i'm a nut, you're a nut. i could never abandon you, my beginnings, my roots, my inspiration, my, my, oh my. it's like the supremes, eventually they had to split. and destiny's child, eventually beyonce just had to go and do her own thing. it's like, like, ummm. gwen stefani, eventually she had to emerge on her own from No Doubt!!! it's like, ummm, sonny and cher, she had to go!!! like ike and tina, gladys and the pips for god's sake!!! of course all of this is just to give you a laugh on a sunday morn. if you will still have me, i will be there with you! even tho' i have moved on to bligger and bletter blogging. Kidding Again!!! stop me, please. p.s. i ain't cookin a thing today. i just sang two big jobs friday and saturday nights and i'm a chill today. i did, however, find a use for my CARDAMOM of which i was freaking over the cost for the Indian Inspired Dinne. i sprinkled a dash or three in my coffee grounds before brewing, and oh my goodness, i thought i died and woke up somewhere where they make turkish coffee on the streets and talk about war and stuff. it's that good! it's like chai tea only coffee. it's exotic, sweet like only a spice can be, it's, it's very good. i'm a' enjoyin' it now. love you!!! so glad you sold a painting!
