This money would be well spent on JT. He should commit to the offseason program if he wants to continue to play ball and be by his family in Miami. He wants to win a ring and now he knows that we can be contenders. With him on one side and JP on the other, we could have 30 sacks between them... not to mention the CFL sack leader backing up both of these guys. This move can help out our defense as much as Pennington helped out our offense.

C - J. O'Neal 32 Coach's Decision 16 PF - Haslem 30 Beasley 18 SF - Moon 26 Beasley 6 Coach's Decision 16 SG - Wade 32 Cook 16 PG - Chalmers 28 Veteran 14 Wade 6 Beasley gets at least 6 minutes a game at the Small Forward in order to get him on the court for at least 24 minutes a game - he is our sixth man and should have a regular dose of PT. The 16 "Coach's Decision" minutes at the center and small forward spots allow for coach Spoelstra to figure out ways to win. I love Mario Chalmers, but you have to open up minutes if you want one of the top available point guards to sign with us. Honestly, our top seven is not going to blow anyone away in the playoffs - we will need nightly contributions from our reserves in order to squeak out victories against the top opposition.

20 points (2 three pointers), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 turnover - great game by Diawara and Moon in 48 minutes of action. I'm not sure we can get 20 points per game from them on a regular basis, but you should expect rebounding, steals and blocks with few turnovers. I'm ready to celebrate the Jermaine O'Neal deal as a great BASKETBALL decision... Toronto saves money next season and gets $3 million for their first rounder, but the Heat gets to exchange their former All-Star forward who is on a one year deal for a former All-Star PF/C who is on a two year deal + we get the ability to re-sign Jamario Moon if we choose and a first round pick. This move helps us for this year and next... props to our owner, because he spent $18 million more next season in exchanging Marcus Banks for JO... not to mention the $3 million he had to throw in.

I'll bite on J-Will - what the heck... he can definitely get the offense going. The Clippers should allow him to buy himself out of his contract -$50,000 would be fair since they haven't had to pay him. I like Tinsley teaming up with JO again. Stephon does not seem to be a fit at this time - he could, however, contribute for the Celtics and be an upgrade over Cassell. If that happens it might be wise to jump on Cassell, because he would be a total Celtic killer. I like the Garnett injury opening up a solid window for Cleveland to claim the top spot... I prefer a second round matchup with Cleveland if we get out of a 4 vs 5 matchup against Atlanta. I also like the Pistons as a spoiler against any of the top three in the first round of the playoffs.

Cook next to Wade to close out games is not as good defensively as Chalmers next to Wade... I like the ability to use either player depending on the situation. Speaking of defense Andre Miller and Louis Williams went for over 50! I think we are a veteran point guard away from having a contending/dark horse team this season.

I couldn't remember Blount either... we're playing the Magic so I am reminded of the strip of Dwight Howard :) I agree with the thought of him being a reserve who can hit jump shots.
