I HONESTLY DON'T BELIEVE HEAT IS INTERESTED IN AMARE'. NOT WITH BOSH AND LEBRON AVAILABLE SOON UNLESS RILES KNOWS SOMETHING WE DON'T.
I'VE SAID THIS BEFORE, RILES WILL NEVER RISK ALIENATING ITS FANS BY TRADING BEAZ. EVEN IF WE DONT GET THE BIG NAMES, THERE'S STILL PLENTY OF OPTIONS TO IMPROVE WITH THE MONEY WE HAVE BY JULY.
EXPECT MILD TRADES FOR JONES OR DIARRHEA FOR OTHER SCRUBS WITH SHORT TERM CONTRACTS.
Raptors 111, Heat 103
Observations from Wednesday's 111-103 loss to the Raptors at Air Canada Centre: The injury absence of Michael Beasley in the second half showed just how fragile this production is. There is a reason why there has been a season-long dance with .500. How much more can Erik Spoelstra ask of Dwya...
STOP THE CHATTER ABOUT BEAZ! HE'S GOT TALENT AND WILL STAY WITH THE HEAT NO MATTER WHAT. RILEY'S NOT THAT DUMB TO TRADE HIM SEEING HOW A LOT OF YOU GUYS HERE DROOL OVER THE KID.
THE REAL PROBLEM IS WONDERBOY CHALMERS. A TRUE SECOND ROUNDER YET MIAMI SEEM OBLIVIOUS TO WHAT THE REST OF THE NBA KNOWS -- CHALMERS IS A THIRD STRING GUARD AT BEST. WE CAN'T TRADE HIM. HE'S GOT NO VALUE. AND THE KID STILL BELIEVES HE SHOULD START!!!
BEEN A FAN OF THE NBA SINCE DR J AND I MUST ADMIT, THIS CHALMERS IS ONE OF THE DUMBEST PG I'VE SEEN TO START IN AN NBA TEAM. ONLY IN MIAMI!!! THIS DUMBASS MAKES JJ BAREA LOOK LIKE JOHN STOCKTON. THEY SHOULD CHANGE HIS NAME TO "CLUELESS". SAD PART IS WE MIGHT BE STUCK WITH HIM FOR A AWHILE.
Chalmers and Beasley and contrasting views
So, let's see, Michael Beasley doesn't play during crunch time in Monday's one-point loss to the Cavaliers, and the following day, coach Erik Spoelstra offers, "You know how we do things here: It's about winning. It's about winning, period. And everything else falls under that." Yet Mario Chalme...
THINGS THAT ARE 100% TRUE:
A) RILEY SOLD HIS SOUL TO THE DEVIL FOR 2010 AND WILL NOT MAKE CHANGES TO HARM IT.
B) ALSTON IS CHALMERS WITH EXPERIENCE.
3) BEASLEY IS THE MIAMI HEAT. HE BLOWS HOT AND COLD.
4) DWADE IS NOW OFFICIALLY HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS OF STAYING IN MIAMI.
5) J O'NEAL TRIAL RUN IS A MISTAKE.
6) WE ARE THE MOST UN-ATHLETIC TEAM IN THE NBA (NETS SHOULD BE BUT HARRIS WILL BURN ALSTON/CHALMERS ANY DAY AND LOPEZ WILL BE A STAR).
7) SPOELSTRA WILL BE REPLACED.
THINGS THAT SHOULD COME TRUE:
1) TRADE J0 AND DIYAWARA FOR T-MAC AND ANDERSEN. WIN-WIN FOR BOTH. I'D RATHER HOPE FOR A T-MAC REVIVAL IN MIAMI THAN CONTINUE HOPING FOR JO TO COME ALIVE. HE'S LOST HIS MOJO YEARS AGO.
2) FOR THE HEAT TO PLAY ARROYO AND LEAVE CHALMERS AS THIRD STRING GUARD. ALL OF US KNOWS THIS.
3) SEND COOK TO CHINA TO PLAY WITH MARBURY! MAYBE HE'LL GET HIS TOUCH BACK THERE.
4) HIRE AVERY JOHNSON AND SPOELSTRA CAN REMAIN AS ASSISTANT. AVERY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO APPRECIATE D-WADE'S STRENGTH SINCE HE TORCHED AVERY'S MAVS.
5) TRADE UD NOW. HE EXEMPLIFIES OUR SLOW-FOOTED DEFENSE.
Bobcats 104, Heat 65
Observations from Wednesday's 104-65 loss to the Bobcats at Times Warner Cable Arena: An awful, embarrassing, humiliating start, as the Heat fell behind 22-6, with the Bobcats making nine of their first 11 shots. There are just too many times when this team does not look ready to play. Way too...
NICE STORY ON THAT MAYO OVER BEASLEY DEBATE...BUT WHO WOULD GIVE UP ON BEASLEY? I WON'T. SAD TO SAY BUT THE GRIZZLIES HAVE MORE TALENT THAN THE HEAT AS IT IS. OURS IS A RAG-TAG TEAM. 2 SCORERS AND THE REST ARE ROLE PLAYERS.
NOW IF THAT GUY TIM GROVER SAYS THAT T-MAC IS HEALTHY THEN I WOULD TRADE JO. MAYBE JO PLUS JAMES JONES FOR T-MAC AND CENTER ANDERSEN CAN WORK...
JO ISN'T GIVING US ANYTHING WITH HIS 102 YO OLD KNEES! MAYBE TIME TO GAMBLE WITHOUT LOSING OUR CHANCE FOR THIS YEAR'S FREE AGENT BOUNTY.
WE NEED SCORERS. NUFF OF THAT DEFENSE CR@P SINCE WE GET BLOWN OUT ANYWAY WITH THIS LINE-UP. A BUNCH OF STATUES!MASQUERADING AS DEFENDERS.
Stand back: Nothing to say here folks
In the wake of Monday's 29-point loss in Utah, security asked the media to wait at an outside hallway at EnergySolutions Arena, instead of the interview area directly adjacent to the Heat locker room. One of the attendants said the request was made by a member of the team's staff. Considering ho...
Heatin huddle .6 seconds left:
Sporon: WATCH OUT FOR THE LOB!!! this is the time for our "motor" to work 100%. it's just perfect for our "dynamics". time for some "chaos". (Wade looking puzzled and thinking it's better to take a crap that to listen to this).
Sporon: Rio! Gotta keep Rondo in front of you! the back his jersey is what you've seen all night!!! watch the LOB!
Chalmers: Uhh coach...what motor?
Buzzer sound.
Lost in translation.
Western exposures: Looking back and ahead
Day 1 of this 10-day Western Conference trip involved both looking back and looking ahead. The look back centered on the Celtics' inbound play with six-tenths of a second remaining in regulation in Wednesday's home overtime loss. For his part, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he would defend it the...
FIRST OF ALL, LET ME START BY SAYING THAT I BELIEVE BEASLEY WILL DEVELOP INTO A GREAT PLAYER IN THE FUTURE.
WITH THAT SAID, HOWEVER, ARE THE MIAMI HEAT STUNTING HIS GROWTH WITH THE WAY THEY'RE HANDLING HIM. IS HASLEM UNJUSTIFIABLY TAKING BEASLEY MINUTES AWAY FROM HIM.
I DARE SAY NO TO THAT! CAN'T COMPARE ROSE (CHICAGO) WITH BEASLEY'S SITUATION SINCE ROSE IS NOT PLAYING WITH A STAR LIKE WADE. WADE IS THE RESIDENT STAR OF MIAMI. LIKE IT OR NOT, HE IS A PROVEN COMMODITY. BEASLEY IS A GIFTED 20 YO STILL LEARNING LIFE IN THE NBA. I GUESS TOO MANY PEOPLE HERE ARE IN LOVE WITH HIS UPSIDE.
FURTHERMORE, WHY CAN'T MIKE AND UDONIS SHARE THE POSITION OR FOR MIKE SLIDE TO SF EVERY NOW AND AGAIN? GREAT PLAYERS HAVE TO LEARN TWO OR SEVERAL POSITIONS TO BECOME REALLY EFFECTIVE AND GET MORE PLAYING TIME.
REALITY IS HE'S A YOUNG PROSPECT THAT SHOWS A GREAT TOUCH FROM THE OUTSIDE AND HAS TREMENDOUS BALL SKILLS.
BUT HE IS ALSO A RAW PLAYER THAT IS UNDERSIZED AT THAT POSITION AND STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS ON DEFENSE. HE'LL SCORE OF COURSE BUT HE'S NOT GOING TO STOP ANYONE - YET.
GIVE HIM THE LOVE AND BE HAPPY HE'S IN MIAMI. ENJOY HIS GAME WHILE THE TEAM TRIES TO GROW WITH HIM.
BUT DON'T FORGET THAT WE DO HAVE A STAR HERE ON A CONTRACT YEAR THAT WE WANT TO KEEP HAPPY AS WELL. AND IF BEASLEY IS NOT GOING TO HELP WIN IN CERTAIN GAMES, THEN DON'T BE SURPRISED IF THEY SIT HIM. HE'S YOUNG. HE'LL GET HIS TIME (HERE OR ELSEWHERE.
MEANTIME, THE COURTSHIP ON HOW TO KEEP WADE WILL CONTINUE. HE IS THE IMMEDIATE PLAN. HE IS NOW. HE IS IN HIS PRIME AND HE CAN WIN GIVEN THE RIGHT SITUATION. JUST PRAY BEASLEY WILL BE PART OF THAT, LIKE IT OR NOT.
Celtics 112, Heat 106
Observations from Wednesday's 112-106 overtime loss to the Celtics at AmericanAirlines Arena: As heartbreaking as it gets. How? How could Mario Chalmers lose Rajon Rondo. How? How? Dwyane Wade couldn't have done much more in his 44-point performance. His 18-point first quarter tied the fifth...
@TylerD
no issue that wade will have great games. the question is at who's expense?
in the short winning run a few sleeps ago, wade was playing off his team mates and allowed them tp get into a rhythm first before he looked for his shots,
the heat was doing ok against the spurs early then wade lead a concerted effort not to ride beasley's hot hand.
i'm all for the 'old wade to come back but maybe he's trying too hard and this is stunting the growth of his team as well as his team mates.
kobe and lebron has learned when to take over...wade appears to avoid seeing this.
maybe he's turning more into an iverson or t-mac (your gifted scorers) who'll get their points regardless of consequence.
Spurs 108, Heat 78
Observations from Thursday's 108-78 loss to the Spurs at AT&T Center: Why must there always be such drama with this team? And, don't look now, but the Raptors are gaining, a mere game and a half behind in the standings. This was the worst loss of the season, and in many ways beyond the 30-poin...
wade has lost his will and that's the problem.
that plus he's so much shorter that melo, lebron, kobe etc thus exposing his now "glaring" limitations.
he over-achieved last year for that 2010 paycheck.

wade is not struggling
he's shown his ceiling and his game is now officially in decline.
wade > arenas - yes. and that's about it.
i'd trade wade for durant in a heartbeat (but they'll decline!)
bosh is wade -only taller. loves his stats and doesn't care about his team mates.
JO is done. even MJ's trainer can't fix those knees. praying for more magloire playing time.
wade will win this year's scoring title. game against spurs has proven that he's not working on that. 7-45 fg% till 2010.
wade can play point but he won't. too afraid he'll have to pass the ball!
or maybe this is wade's unathletic, shorter, chubbier twin brother we're seeing today.

spo's coaching plus his chaotic substitution patterns is due to the pressure of winning and his lack of experience.
he also lacks the skill to develop young players, more so limited talents such as chalmers and cook.
but riley has surrounded spo with a team that has no balance. loaded with sf's and big men (nonathletic ones) and wanting of a real pg, any coach will find it hard to succeed.
however, i also believe that spo, despite all of the above, is not the coach for this team. wade is.

watching the game on replay and can't help but notice the obvious that the heat just refused to ride beasley's hot hand. gotta admit that the heat seem to not know anything about offense!
this team, though lacking in athleticism, is not that short on talent as some suggest. but without the right blueprint for offense, we'll continue to lose - badly.
forget 2010! riley will find a way to stuff it up. i don't believe players are that excited at going to miami with riley running the show. he has lost the touch years ago!

Dwyane Wade at center stage
So Dwyane Wade says this visit to Madison Square Garden has nothing to do with 2010 free agency, nothing to do with the venue. Sure.If there is one thing the Heat guard has shown over these past seven seasons it is that he plays to the moment. Whether it's racing to the opposite end of the co...
always wondered why there's so much fuss about this "slledge" character. must be a poor wade relative just hatin' on the guy. or a just another obsessed fan. loves the attention. just another invalid stuck on his pc. so sad.

nico piece on wade and riley being "riley".
ASK IRA: Does Spo' need to defend Dwyane?
Q: Was it necessary for Coach Spo' to defend Wade from Jeff Van Gundy's comments on his star, which, for the most part, were true? On every game I watch, he really does get back late, most of the time complaining about a non-call? -- Ryan. A: There has been plenty of feedback on that piece. Here...
IT'S JUST SO FUNNY HOW THE TEAM PLAYED THEIR HEARTS OUT AND BEASLEY LOVERS ONLY LOOK AT HOW THEIR "BOY" WAS BENCHED LATE IN THE 4TH. HE WAS TAKEN OUT WHEN HE CAN'T DO ANYTHING AGAINST GASOL. HASLEM KEPT THE BALL IN PLAY SEVERAL TIMES AND THUS KEPT THEM IN THE GAME. BEASLEY JUST DOES NOT HUSTLE ENOUGH TO MERIT PLAYING LATE IN THAT GAME. THE LAKERS ARE THE DEFENDING CHAMPS. TO GO TOE-TO-TOE WITH THEM SAYS A LOT ABOUT HOW WE PLAYED. I LIKE BEASLEY BUT HIS TOUGHNESS NEEDS A LOT OF WORK.
Lakers 108, Heat 107
Observations from Friday's 108-107 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center: Heartbreaking. Crushing. Lucky. But that's why he's Kobe. And that's why the Heat is trying to get where the Lakers are. Yes, the Heat deserved better. It could have been so different with a few more conversio...
when u have a riley who only cares about next year, don't blame Wade for feeling the pinch of carrying the load again! and how can spo not coach iverson? he is coaching wade and wade is a handful to coach as well.
Celtics 92, Heat 85
Observations from Sunday's 92-85 loss to the Celtics at AmericanAirlines Arena: Good effort, tough result. Tougher road trip now to follow. Kevin Garnett was just too, well, perfect, closing 11 of 12 from the field. Dwyane Wade found his stroke again, filling the box score. Wade's final rebou...
WADE, BEASLEY AND JO AND A BUNCH OF PLAYERS NO OTHER NBA TEAM WOULD TRADE FOR! CAN'T BLAME WADE FOR NOT WANTING TO CARE.

CHALMERS? ARROYO? CHALMERS? ARROYO? NONE OF THESE TWO WILL EVER BE ALL-STARS! AND WE HAVE CHALMERS STARTING IN MIAMI!!! 9-7 IS A BLESSING. SAD TO SAY IVERSON STILL HAS NO TEAM...GO RILEY! HOPE YOUR 2010 DREAM IS WORTH IT. THIS SEASON IS TURNING INTO A NIGHTMARE FAST.

WHAT GET'S TO ME IS WHY HESITATE USING JO, HASLEM AND BEASLEY WITH WADE AND WHOEVER WE CALL A PG MORE OFTEN! THE LAKERS USE GASOL BYNUM WITH LAMAR AT THE SAME TIME, ALL OF THEM TALLER AND MAYBE WITH MORE TALENT. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE IT WORK FOR MIAMI? I THINK THEY (COACHING STAFF) ARE OVER-ANALYZING THE TEAM AND IT'S STUNTING IT'S GROWTH.
MAYBE THIS WIN WILL OPEN THEIR EYES.
Heat 99, Magic 98
Observations from Wednesday’s 99-98 victory over the Magic at Amway Arena: Michael Beasley, right on time. It was a nice moment for the kid. For once, he got the chance at the finish. This time he made the most of it. Was it goaltending? Who cares. And don't sell short the late effort by Dwyan...
just tried this with espn trade machine : JO-Dorell Wright-Chris Quinn to Houston for T-Mac-Kyle Lowry-David Andersen.
Money works. Houston says good bye to unappreciated T-Mac and get JO to man the paint till Yao comes back then JO can slide back to PF where he can do more damage (hopefully not to his knees!). Dorell can step in at SG while Andersen may actually work out for the Heat coz he's got range. and still has both legs working. Lowry can start or come off the bench. And best part is we don't have to see Quinn anymore!
T-Mac and JO are great one year rentals for both teams.
It's not a small world, after all
Erik Spoelstra had the opportunity Sunday against the Hornets. Quentin Richardson still was out and Udonis Haslem was back from the strained left shoulder that had sidelined him for two games. But instead of inserting Haslem into the starting lineup and shifting Michael Beasley to small forward,...
chalk up another lucky win with a team that didn't have its resident star player (chris paul).
Heat 102, Hornets 101
Observations from Sunday's 102-101 victory over the Hornets at AmericanAirlines Arena: Remember, even though Marcus Thornton (pictured below) was selected with the second-round pick the Heat traded to the Hornets at last June's draft, the Heat never had plans to select the LSU guard for itself...
correction: 7-4 and this might be as get as it gets till we do something!
Hawks 105, Heat 90
Observations from Wednesday's 105-90 loss to the Hawks at Philips Arena: Once again the Heat offense stagnated early, often leaving nothing more than jumpers as options. That, in effect, had the Hawks off to the races. The Hawks ended the first half on a 28-8 run. The Heat then opened the thir...
It's easy to understand Wade's frustration. Riley had surrounded him with second tier talents. Riley has promised a bounty in 2010 but Wade has been asking for help since that dismal 15-67 season. Miami might be an ideal place for a top-notch player to sign in but Riley's inaction is increasingly killing that! He has emphasized defense but doesn't have the talent to back that up either. It's high time to let our offense loose. Beasley and JO will also benefit from having AI since the opponents defense can't focus on Wade only. AI is also a better passer than Chalmers. Wade has said before that he wants to see what direction the Heat is taking before signing up. I know we're 7-3 but why does it feel like the boat is actually sinking? Let our offense loose and our defense should take care of itself. Top teams fuel their defense thru offense. We're starting to perfect the art of ugly ball!!!

hey cp 12, that "chucker" is a proven scorer. unless you've been in a coma the last ten years, our offense is on a bad 'diet' the last two games! teams, regardless of size needs scorers. you think diop can help them win?

another game where Wade looked tired. same look he had when the Hawks eliminated them in the 1st of the round play-offs. the Hawks BULLIED the heat. no other excuse. the hell with that vaunted defensive mentality -- SIGN AI and put some points in the hoop. it's simple -- we have guns but we don't have any bullets apart from Wade (who badly misfired) and Beasley (who showed-up today).
