Speechless....
Love
Oh my lord. So beautiful.
Over and out.
I've been wildly distracted by the shiny new promise of the Tumblr's, Posterouses, Pinterests, Memonics of the world which have sent my thoughts in a multitude of totally random and incoherent directions. As things get busier and I endevour to FINALLY follow through on a number of personal projects you can find my (useless) ramblings in a prettier package @ http://pinterest.com/katrina_w/ x Continue reading

Couldn't agree more Marissa! Wish I actually found them in more places :)
After-party shoes in a vending machine
As a religious carrier of Havaianas in my bag on big nights out, these 'after-party shoes/flats in a vending machine' from Rollasole are a classic 'why didn't i think of this first'?
if you insist.

social letterbox.
I attended a MTV Youth talk a few weeks back at which a panel of early twenty-somethings classed me as a 'geriatric gen y'. How observant. So it's no suprise that with my recent move overseas and hundreds of emails, messages, mms's later... that I've found myself lamenting the days of the old letterbox. Not the one you would eagerly await postcards by, but the one in which you would store highlighter-hued handwritten notes secretly slid between school tables... as rich and liberating as our social media lives are, how are we ever to rediscover, relive, or re-share those page-scrolling... Hi Wes and Nicole - glad you share this view. Having just returned from 6 weeks of travel, I now see Sydney in a whole new way. It's kinda ridiculous how much we miss in our own hood... :)
Too true.
... although arguably changing somewhat with the iPhone/androids and all those lovely photography apps. See... not just tragic hipster inventions. via This is Indexed

Ah, I see you've taken the plunge! And an awesome one.. I love it! And smile every time I think of the name :)
Unpackaged please
How simple - Unpackaged is a new shop in London selling organic wholefoods without any packaging whatsoever. And you're rewarded with a discount if you bring your own tupperware, glass jars, old takeaway cartons, brown paper bags, plastic bags, old packaging of your choosing... I love how this ...
No worries Meg! Can't wait to see it :)
Banksy on film
The rumours ain't rumours (apparently). "Exit through the Gift Shop" is a new Banksy film set to premier at The Sundance Film Festival. Excellent... Thanks Wooster
Thanks Steven - great campaign, certainly deserves it! Can't believe I only just found out about this one :)
Natural Confectionary Co.
Genius. Why haven't I seen these before?! via Ben
I know, I know! You will be the first to know when I do. Can't wait to (gotta) get started...!
Getting to know Sydney
52 suburbs is a lovely little blog aiming to tackle each of Sydney's 637 suburbs one at a time - looking at each as if it's a new city. I've had a similar (same same but different) idea for a while which I'm hoping to get up and running by December when I'm not in between homes and jobs.. how in...
Thanks Meg! Very exciting :)
Bag o' scraps
Sorry I've been out of action. Have started a new job amongst other life-changing things, so have been a little preoccupied. Back to it. Love this: American Apparel is selling scraps from its factory floor for A$16: “Bag-O-Scraps”. Great for the environment and re-use of 'waste'... and simultane...
:) It's pretty powerful isn't it Meg? No excuses needed. I'm still known to cry in Disney films and yes, sometimes ads (urgh!).
Moments
CAN'T WAIT to see this - ''Moments' by Will Hoffman. via Nick
Really interesting to hear that Meg! I think it's easy to forget that tourism campaigns should almost make the people who live there feel the most proud. It's a pity not everyone feels that way. Having said that, I spent an amazing long weekend in Daylesford a few years ago and felt that the 'two lives' or balance in between indulgence and simplicity/nature seemed perfect. Well, for a tourist anyhow (so I see your point)... TVC aside, I hope other parts of the campaign pays tribute to the type of Daylseford you'd like represented.. and on another note it is good to hear they actually used real locals, not just actors :)will have to look out for you in the ad!
Beautiful
God I love this song. And what Mojo have done with Tourism Victoria.
Me too. And somehow it's so much sweeter and less self-righteous in pink :)
No bullshit please
This is the first in a series of fold-out newsprint posters by Sell! Sell! to keep bullshitters and bullshittification in the office. To use: Pin up and silently nod or point to poster in the event of bollocks. I wonder if they post to Australia?
Agreed - it was just getting selfish keeping her all to ourselves :)
Earth Hour Candle
First piece of work I've had anything to do with that I'm posting... Earth Hour and the power of community; none of us are as powerful as all of us. Conceived by the brilliant Gary Dawson and of course Andy & Jay out of Leo's Sydney...
Brilliant. Tribe Called Quest always has the goods! Keep em coming :)
Mashup
Awesome. Check it out... thanks MollieHill
