I haven't posted in a while but just had to when I read this headline. Hey bobby, I'll take a little bit of that crow as well bud. I never thought this move would happen. I'm stunned. This is a very high/risk high reward situation. I can't help but wonder if Holmes going to the Jest may have pushed this deal through. Wow, the AFC East is going to be a scary division this year...absolutely stunned. I give a lot of credit to the people who stuck to their guns about Marshall. I know I busted the chops of a few...

What Crowder didn't realize is that he's starting to lean towards Rex because he is so large that all objects on earth have slowly started gravitating towards him.

I would hate to see JT as one of the Jest but whatever. It's a business. Gave up 8 mil last year? Would JT really have gotten a 9 mil contract last year to play somewhere else? Child please.

billbill, If they don't go oline then I agree it will almost certainly be NT but I think it'll be oline. Agreed Craig, they are a terrible franchise and you never know what they are going to do. They almost rival Oakland for futility.

Craig, the Bills have so many needs it's ridiculous, but I believe they must go o-line in order to put some semblence of an offense on the field next year. I think you'll see Oline from them in the 1st.

I'd be shocked to see Lupati @ 12. Considering the needs on this team and the fact that quality guards can usually be had in later rounds it just doesn't seem to make sense.

Cheers Rob. This is the mid-lunch chat for me. And lunch is almost over which is why I normally don't get a chance to talk with you guys too much. It sucks to start or get involved in an actual intelligent deabte/conversation and have to abrubtly leave due to pesky things like work and family. I'm always reading though. The occasional weigh in, diatribe or hyperbole laced post is normally the best I can manage. Less than a month till the draft!!! :)

If I drive drunk and crash my car into my own house I still get punished for drunk driving. Plax still got sentenced within the parameters of the law for carrying a firearm illegally. I do agree with bobby that the mayor should have stayed out of it and by entering it he DID make it political.

I'm gonna weigh in on the Plaxico thing. I agree with NJ on this one. Somebody could have been killed by this dope and I'm glad he got time for it. Rob, to respond to your question comparing Ronnie's situation I think that they are comparable. Plax got jail time for breaking the no-tolerance gun law but not nearly as much time as he would have gotten if he had killed someone instead of just shooting his own leg. Ronnie will get punished for driving drunk, but not nearly as much time as he would have if he had killed someone while driving drunk.** **although by that reckoning Stallworth would have gotten just a slap on the wrist if he hadn't killed a guy**

The owners approved the changes to overtime rules in the playoffs. I wish they had left it alone.

Bootang, I imagine there are whiny fans of every team. I've never trolled other teams blogs but it's a pretty good bet that they all have fans with issues. As an example, my uncle (through marriage) is a Diehard Pats fan and he has always hated Brady as his QB. Every time they lose a game it's Brady's fault because he is a terrible QB. How dumb is that?! t, I absolutely agree with this regime thinking they might already have the answer on the roster which is another reason they haven't taken a big risk on a WR yet. Unlike a number of fans they understand this team is still being built so there is a window for the development of some of these guys. (I don't think we have the answer yet, but allow for the possibility.)

"That's what we're festering down there right now." LMAO-Don't they have a cream for that? In all seriousness, Sparano's comments mean absolutely nothing to me. You can't believe anything this regime feeds to the media. It may be the truth sometimes just to throw you off but 99% is spin and outright crap. I do think we are a dominant #1 WR from having an outstanding receiving corp as I believe Bess and Hartline have the potential to be a top tier #2/#3 combo. I just think this piece will be added after the defense is fixed unless something falls into our laps.

Thanks for that one good year you gave us and screw you Porter.

Step 1 – Player gets asked his opinion. Step 2 – Media blows response way out of proportion with extrapolations, allegations of hidden agendas and innuendo. Step 3 – Public outcry. Step 4 – Player “clarifies” statement to mollify the public. Step 5 – Rinse and repeat. We have seen this dance so many times. Every player should be required to buy the Peyton Manning book of rote answers and meaningless responses. How many pundits have said that Tebow is not an NFL ready QB? I would venture to say that most of them have but the second an NFL player says it that player’s statement is dissected and everybody goes *gasp*. I can’t believe he said that!!

I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't even contemplate taking this kid at #12. If we were thinking along those lines then just trade for Marshall. Marshall isn't nearly as big a risk because he's had time to prove his talent as a scumbag. What happens if we draft this kid Dez and even with his dark background he turns out to be a fine upstanding citizen? We will have wasted a pick that could have been used to secure a known a ss-clown in Marshall.

Although it certainly can be argued that the smart thing to do would have been to show the social polish of a Peyton Manning with a rote response talking the guy up you have to respect the fact he was asked his opinion and he gave it. You can read all kinds of things into it and it very well could have been a back-handed shot at White but I think to this point Henne has shown a good amount of patience and team first spirit in regards to the wildcat and coming in and out of games. Personally, I see nothing wrong with him giving his opinion even if it wasn't the politically correct one.

Oh, let me just congratulate the Jest and their fans for their success in getting the first Monday night game in Giants stadium. It must be gratifying to know that you are NOT the second class NFL citizens you are made out to be. This show of faith by the NFL to let you host the almost first game in Giants stadium is just the proof and vindication you guys needed to hold your heads up high. Congratulations Jest!!

A few thoughts, sorry if I'm rehashing: This was a win-win signing for us. It cost us next to nothing and Incognito adds nice depth to the Oline. It's a given that at some point in the season Smiley will go down to injury and who knows what's going to happen at the RG position. This signing gives us more draft flexibility in the later rounds. If the guy implodes then we cut our loses with very little $$$ invested. I really don't see him as anything more than depth. Wasn't he the guy that got flippin' abused time and again by our Dline last year? If he was sure starter material somebody would have paid more and picked him up even with his nasty nature. Remember Kevin Gogan? That guy picked up personal fouls just stepping on the field, but he was still worth it for a number of years.

Alex, NJ told you the Dolphins were going to draft WR in the 1st last year? I find that hard to believe bud. He has always espoused Parcell’s distaste for drafting WR in the 1st.

I just read about what Zach Thomas said about Brandon Marshall. What does everyone think about that? Surprised, shocked, glad, ticked off..?? Posted by: Indiana Dolfan | March 12, 2010 at 10:00 AM I think that Zach was a heck of a MLB...

Darn it Mando, why did you have to go and humanize Porter? He's in my top 10 favorite guys to hate list and it's hard not to see him in a different light knowing about his daughter. :)

Cheers guys. Just trying to add a little levity to what seems to be an increasingly morose fan base on the blog.

After years and years of poor management, terrible personnel decisions and bad coaching that culminated in a 1-15 year in 2007 we have obviously only now hit rock bottom. What has this so-called “trifecta” done for us lately?! Oh, I know what you’re going to say…”they took us to a division title in just one year”…”they brought us back to respectability”…”they have been steadily building our talent base through the draft to build us a winner for years to come”…blah…blah…blah All I know is these jerks haven’t signed Marshall, Rolle or Clark. They let Boldin “slip” away and showed no interest in Bryant. How can the rest of you sit here and accept that? With Marshall and Rolle all our problems would be solved. It’s apparent to me now that Parcells must have gotten really lucky when he took the Giants to 2 Super Bowl wins. Brought the Jets to the cusp of a championship, started the Patriots on the right path towards a championship including taking them to a Super Bowl and loaded Dallas up with so much talent that they still haven’t frittered it all away. Contrary to what has been said by some, Parcells was ALWAYS an integral part of acquiring players in NY, NE and Dallas. This guy Parcells must have a damned’ leprechaun up his a ss because it is now as obvious to me as it is to all the other geniuses on this blog that he has NO CLUE what the hell he is doing!! 30 years of excellence is no excuse. You have had two WHOLE years Mr. Parcells. We should already be the best team to ever lace up cleats and we would be if you’d just read this blog once in awhile to figure out what to do. It’s so easy. Not sure about the rest of you but I’m going to find a nice cliff to jump off of. LMFAO (Side note-perhaps the Parcells leprechaun was unceremoniously eaten by Ryan the Hutt when he entered the AFC East, hence the clear loss of his “luck” as evidenced by not having 3 Super Bowl rings in his TWO years here!!) (Insert sarcasm anywhere and everywhere.)

T.O to meet with Cincy. Maybe Cincy can sign T.O. move up in the draft to snag Bryant and Bryant can be guided by Ocho-nada and T.O. It's almost too perfect. And that's the way they became the Diva-bunch.

Kevin, on a blog which is normally rife with dissenting opinions and harsh words being flung back and forth, Mando wrote something intended to galvanize the Dolphins fans into a supportive community for Mad Dog. Whether it is tripe and insincere is subject to debate. People attack Mando all the time for his writing and the content of his stories but I personally think it in poor taste to use this particular blog as your forum for such an attack. But, it is a free speech forum so, to each their own.
