I've been going to cons for years and I'm always surprised when fans get upset that one of their faves can't come because they got a gig. Don't you want your faves to succeed? Aren't there tons of other fun stuff to do at the con? Luckily, the fans are getting savvier and I don't hear that complaint very much anymore. You are awesome for explaining it though!
