The Print Nest is a little project I made for #365CREATE. What is #365CREATE? It's basically a self imposed challenge to create something everyday, no matter how small or left field. I have been dipping into Noah Scalin's 365 A... Continue reading

hey there Jennifer, Thank you for stopping by Sewing Daisies, it's great to hear from you. The fabric I used is a medium weight cotton (of inexpensive kind), and the ink is Permaset Aqua Fabric Magic in white. I should imagine any fabric dye would do the trick. To bind the edges of the table runner, I simply used a small tight zig zag (sewing machine). That way the table runners lie completely flat on the table, and it adds to that organic feel of it. As you can probably tell by my post, I am pretty taken with this little project and plan on trying it again. I have some Martha Stewart paints that claim to be fabric friendly, so I might try those out next. Have fun! cheers H

Hi Adriene, I used Grignasco Merino gold which is a very light yarn, so I doubled up. I think I could have tripled up for a hardier winter, but we get really mild winters in Sydney :-) cheers H

Happy New year Alison! to quote Wikipedia "Springpad is a free online application and web service that allows its registered users to save, organize, and share collected ideas and information." Like Pinterest you can create boards and pin recipes, patterns etc I scan in patterns from my Japanese books an organize them onto my boards so I don't have to rummage through trying to find them later. You can choose to have all of your boards private. check out (it's free) xh
