hey there Jennifer, Thank you for stopping by Sewing Daisies, it's great to hear from you. The fabric I used is a medium weight cotton (of inexpensive kind), and the ink is Permaset Aqua Fabric Magic in white. I should imagine any fabric dye would do the trick. To bind the edges of the table runner, I simply used a small tight zig zag (sewing machine). That way the table runners lie completely flat on the table, and it adds to that organic feel of it. http://www.permaset.com.au/permaset-aqua/ As you can probably tell by my post, I am pretty taken with this little project and plan on trying it again. I have some Martha Stewart paints that claim to be fabric friendly, so I might try those out next. Have fun! cheers H
