This is Cathy, Carla C's assistant! I just double checked my pattern. There are three pieces for the sleeve. The top part which connects to the bodice and the two "Bell Pieces" A and B. For the size 7/8, on the paper pattern itself, the width is 8 5/8 across for both the A and the B where you overlap them.(don't forget you will be cutting this on the fold.) This is much larger than the top piece of the sleeve because you will be gathering the "bell sleeve" part. I hope this helps! If not, please contact me at http://scientificseamstress.com/contact.html
